KPMG US Department of Professional Practice (DPP) is responsible for implementing PCAOB, AICPA and other standards setter's methodology into KPMG's audit methodology. US DPP Audit professionals work with leading KPMG-US DPP technical experts in a challenging environment where they are exposed to diverse projects which afford the opportunity to expand their technical skills related to PCAOB and AICPA standards, to improve their project management skills and, to develop their professional relationships across the KPMG network.

Candidates can work with US DPP from the KPMG GDC Bangalore office, with occasional travel for group meetings as needed to the United States.

Qualification and Experience

- CA/CPA/ ACCA

- Passion for contributing to audit quality improvement initiatives

- Recent and extensive experience in the application/implementation of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards are required- 10 to 12 years of post- qualification experience in Big 4 national office or similar function (e.g., Capital Markets Group or serving large/complex clients)

- Experience in conducting external audits in accordance with PCAOB, AICPA and/or ISA auditing standards,

- Well-developed supervisory skills Well-developed critical thinking and problem solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals internal and with US stakeholders at different seniority levels

- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team

- Driven and enthusiastic with a 'can-do' attitude and a strong sense of ownership to get the job done in a pragmatic fashion

- Strong project management skills, particularly managing stakeholders' expectations and proactively communicating issues, solutions and progress, internally and with US stakeholders.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills and effective upward management and cross team communication

- Ability to confidently lead meetings, calls and group discussions with senior level audiences, internally and with US stakeholders

- Develops networks, who enjoys interaction with staff from various parts of the firm and displays a flexible approach to work

- Desire to learn new skills and challenge the status quo

- IT savvy, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word etc. Should be able to use MS Power Point to create effective presentations

Job Requirement

- Working with U.S. subject matter experts and stakeholders from the business

- Drafting/updating of new audit technical guidance

- Staying on top of and following current developments at the PCAOB and AICPA

- Assisting in the development of U.S. and International audit policies, methodology, thought leadership tools

- Assisting in the maintenance of current audit content and guidance, including by recommending changes necessary throughout the internal maintenance process

- Developing standardized audit procedures

- Contributing along with other team members/senior managers/ US national office team in preparing guidance and examples

- Reviewing U.S. training curriculum content

- Working with the business and the wider quality agenda to identify needs for additional guidance/templates/examples in certain areas of the business

- Developing templates and examples to support consistent execution of quality audits

- Ongoing maintenance/improvement of information structure on internal website on technical guidance Ongoing compliance with our system of quality control objectives and requirements
