Roles & Responsibility

- Support the ESG STR in developing and implementing EDD, ESDD, ESIA, ESMS, ESAP across the companies in India

- Lead and be responsible for independent execution of Strategy, Transformation & Reporting focusing on the ESDD, ESIA, Reporting, ESMS

- be responsible for managing the engagement team and overall execution of work related to any of the service offerings mentioned above. This may include on-site work/assessments, conducting secondary research on the select subject matter, making reports and other related tasks as advised by the engagement leader

- will play the role of team leader on engagements with team members reporting to them for the project independently. AD will be the SPOC for the client in day-to-day management of the engagement and will interact with the client representatives for the ongoing requirements of the project

- will proactively support sales and business development. These would include identifying and pursuing business opportunities, and closing them as engagements

- will consistently deliver quality client services and take charge of the project area assigned to him/her

- will monitor progress, manage risk and verify key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes

- will demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Demonstrate ability to assimilate to new knowledge

- will possess good business acumen. Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge

- The job would require travel to client locations within India and abroad

THE INDIVIDUAL

- Possess strong domain knowledge, understanding of business processes and possible risks with respect to ESG material topics like regulatory compliance like CPCB, MoEF, IFC performance standards, Factories and Labor regulations.

- Have strong understanding of reporting standards such as BRSR, GRI, TCFD, SASB, UNPRI, GIIL etc.

- Have developed and implemented ESMS (Environment and Social Management System) and ESAP (Environment and Social Action plans)

- Knowledge about ESG regulations in India and global markets

- Have worked across industries (Pharma, Chemicals, Electronics and other manufacturing sectors, IT and IT enabled services), Infrastructure & Real Estate, Private Equity, Venture Funds, NBFC, Services (Health care etc)

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Possess strong data analytics skills and knowledge of advanced data analytical tools will be an advantage

- Strong written and verbal communication skills (presentation skills) in English

- Ability to work well in teams

- Understanding of IT systems, Knowledge of MS office (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc)

- Have the ability to work under pressure - stringent deadlines and tough client conditions which may demand extended working hours

- Willingness to travel within India or abroad for continuous long periods of time

- Demonstrate integrity, values, principles, and work ethic and lead by example

QUALIFICATION

- Graduation and Post-Graduation in a field related to Environment & Sustainability with > 12 years of experience in ESG and sustainability consulting and/or managing the ESG issues in the companies.

- Any specialized sustainability related certifications/accreditations would be an added advantage
