Exp- min 5 yrs from top b school  Qualification-mba  POSITION DESCRIPTION :   Position Title : DM - Sales & Operations Planning  Location - Gurgaon   Department : Supply Chain  Division: Kohler India Corporation Pvt Ltd  Group : Kitchen and Bath  BASIC FUNCTIONS :   The incumbent is responsible for overall Sales and Operations planning for Kohler K&B India ( Demand forecasting & Supply Planning ) over various time frames with the objective of ensuring product availability as per customer current and future requirement with right inventory in the system  SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :   Area of Responsibility  Performance Metrics :   S&OP Process Ownership :   Lead S&OP Meetings :   1. Setup S&OP meeting for next 3 months rolling with participation of Sales, Marketing, finance and Supply chain  2. Supervise the team to prepare Deck for S&OP Meeting 1day before the S&OP meeting  3. Lead and review analysis of past sales trend, Product transitions, New products contribution in plan, Inventory and supply constraints and overall plan valuation gap v/s op com to be presented in S&OP meeting.  4. Lead S&OP meeting and seek alignment on key decisions with marketing, Sales, finance and get the meeting minutes documented with followup actions  Own Yearly Demand planning ( B1 Process) :   1. Align current year base by units and value for each category with Product Managers as per current rolling demand plan which is input to yearly financial plan  2. Convert Strategic business plan into supply plan by fixing sources, inventory norms for next 5 years ( Manufacturing + Purchasing: domestics vendor+ imports)  3. Review and align the yearly financial plan plan with all manufacturing sources  Own & Lead Monthly Forecast generation Process :   1. Supervise demand planning team to generate trends every month in the first week of month to get retail forecast.  2. Validate the retail forecast based on business inputs.  3. Handhold team to forecast for new products by leading consensus meeting with product team.  4. Supervise demand planning team to get Project forecast from sales Team  5. Review quality of Project forecast and follow-up with Sales team to get better quality and timely project forecast  6. Supervise publishing of Forecast on time for S&OP discussion  Own & Lead Supply Planning for the Business :   1. Supervise supply planning team on generation of inventory targets, revised supply plan  2. Align inventory turns for rolling 12 months for all categories basis supply plan generated by team and align with fin plan  3. Review replenishment norms for warehouses and safety stock norms pan India with distribution team  4. Review vendor performance with team and escalate and seek closure on issues.  5. Review monthly as well as YTD Customer Service analysis ( LOTIF analsyis) and follow up on action plans and track closures. Escalate to concerned sources when needed  MIS/Dashboards :   1. Publish planning dashboard on monthly basis  2. Lead analysis of all KPAs to improve them in PDCA format ( Plan, Do, Check and Act)  Team Engagement & Development :   1. Participate in the recruitment and selection process of team  2. Conduct Goal Setting and performance review of the team and their teams  3. Coach and mentor team members as required  4. Plan the functional trainings required by the planners to improve their technical skills in forecasting, supply planning, data analysis  5. Engage team to improve team effectiveness and develop team  RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS  - Reports to Supply Chain Functional Head  - Internal with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supplying plants (Domestic + Imports)  - External with Suppliers  - No. of Direct Reports : 1-2. Total team Size: 3-4  - No of SKUs to be handled : ~2000  - No of Forecasting points : 4 in India  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :   - Bachelor degree in relevant discipline with MBA.  - At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in supply/ Demand Planning. Proven success track record is a must. Possess analytical skills, ERP software exposure. Knowledge of Distribution network and safety target settings, Process Oriented, Cross functional collaboration. Handling pressure and bias for action. Team Manager. Must have handled teams at operational level
