Job Title : Key Account Manager

Business Unit : Retail Liabilities


Function : Corporate Salary

Job Purpose :

- The role entails growing the liability base of the bank by deepening relationships of mapped customer base.


- The role bearer is responsible for managing existing customers of the bank as well as growing the base by acquiring targeted new to bank customers in corporate salary, providing excellent and customized service and forging a deep relationship with the customer.


- The role has a P&L responsibility contributing to the larger branch banking channel objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Drive customer focussed initiatives and be the single point of contact for all tactical and critical scenarios

- Provide best in-class service to clients covering all their banking needs including bank/3rd party products to become their banking partner of choice

- Enhance product penetration in the mapped customer base by leveraging different customer engagement channels

- Offer IDFC First bank and third party products with a view to enhance revenue per client by leveraging cross sell business opportunities

- Ensure compliance to internal guidelines and regulations by conforming to SOPs, circulars and KYC processes of the bank

- Ensure monthly sales targets for designated accounts are met consistently .

- Evaluate the growth strategy based on competitor analysis and feedback from different channels/customers

- Recommend process changes in order to improve service efficiency and quality across the branch network

- Knowledge of mapping key accounts and ability to communicate well and make presentations to corporates / mass audiences

- Local market knowledge

- Attract and retain best-in-class talent for key roles in their reporting structure

- Monitor key parameters on employee productivity, hiring quality and attrition rates and make necessary improvements

- Enable teams to drive growth targets by providing necessary support

Educational Qualifications :

Post Graduate : MBA

Experience :


- 5 to 10+ years of relevant branch banking


- Corporate Salary experience
