Karvy - Senior Data Scientist

Experience : 6+yrs of experience with machine learning techniques & algorithmic optimization Techniques, Problem Solving & complexity analysis

Education Qualification : Phd/MTech/MS/M.Stat or equivalent degree in Computer Science or Economics or Mathematics or Operational research (OR) or Statistics. Preference will be given to the post graduates from ISI.

We have multiple positions opened for Data Scientist professionals for Hyderabad location.

Required Skills :

- 6+ year relevant industry or research experience.

- Strong knowledge of data mining, machine learning techniques, algorithmic optimization Techniques and statistics

- The data scientist is responsible for solving complex big-data problems in online advertising space using data mining, machine learning, statistical analysis and computational economics.

- An ideal candidate should strong depth and breadth knowledge in machine learning, data mining and statistics.

- The candidate should have reasonable programming and design skills to manipulate unstructured and big data, build prototype that work on massive datasets or even components that work within production systems.

- The candidate should be able to apply business knowledge to do broad data analysis as a precursor to modeling and to provide valuable business intelligence

Previous exposure to any one tools in the list :

- SAS/SPSS/Statistica/MatLab/Oracle data miner or Oracle R, SAP HANA or Revolution R Analytics Modelling tools is mandatory

- Experience with big data

- Strong problem solving, programming skills and computer science fundamentals

- Knowledge of Hadoop,Hive,MapR,SQOOP,PIG and other distributed computing platform

- Experience with tools like Weka, R and other machine learning packages

- Compulsory knowledge of programming using Python

- Visualization tool experience : Tableau,Sportfire,Cognos,Excel and Mobile Viewer tools

- Experience in coming up with a long-term vision and defining standards.

- Passionate and committed with strong sense of ownership and craftsmanship.

- Strong communication skills (interpersonal, written, and verbal).

- Must Have good stability

- Certifications from ISB or INSOFE or Jigsaw or Cloudera or SAS preferred.
