About Karvy Solar :

Karvy Solar is a new age Solar power company aiming to provide one stop solution under one roof. We are setting up a 20 MW solar power project at Sadashivpet, Telangana and are taking steps to be a serious player in the Industry. The company has plans to develop three verticals - Build & Operate, EPC and Consulting. Over the next few years, Karvy Solar aims to be a serious player in the Construction, consulting and Operations & management of Solar Power projects

Purpose of role :

- This role is directly responsible for the business development of build & operate and EPC businesses of all scales including rooftop business.

- The role is responsible for winning the bids from central and various state governments under tender and direct routes.

- He/she is also directly responsible for developing business for private PPAs and from various other stakeholders in the ecosystem.

Key responsibilities :

- Achieving Solar PV business for EPC vertical and for development vertical as per the targets sets by the company from time to time

- Opening new business opportunities through third party sales, private PPAs, forging of JVs and development of various partnership to increase the footprints of the company in sync with the top management thought process

- Developing close contacts with the industry players and to have a develop strong business information system for the company to keep track of technology, business in various states in India and international opportunities.

- Providing complete support with the execution teams in development, rooftop, EPC and consultancy wings through client management and through liaison for various project related activities including all key support areas to the top management of the company.

- Development of key messages and led all communication, client interactions, prequalification, proposals and presentations.

- Utilize technical knowledge at industry events, to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, and when offering clients the most innovative solutions.

- Lead presentations at industry events to promote KARVYS strength and capabilities.

- Facilitate meetings with clients to provide customized capabilities solutions, communicating key competitive advantages in the EPC and start-up markets.

- Review IRR and Research leads to determine future involvement.

- Attract and manage strategic clients, partners, contacts, opportunities, capture plans, and to document client/project interaction.

- Communicate schedules and major upcoming events to the project execution and consulting teams and facilitate plan execution.

- Conduct debrief meetings with clients, supply chain, project management and executives, determining causes for both missed and won work to formulate lessons learned and best practices.

- Thorough understanding of Business requirements for New Business Development from scratch including challenges related to qualification in initial phase.

Qualification and experience :

- 15 to 20 years experience into business development opportunities in the development and EPC market in energy sector and at least 5 years of BD experience in Solar PV Plants sector.

- Experience in fetching Solar EPC business above 20 MW and above in each financial year for the last three years.

- Added experience in Solar Rooftop and of Closing private PPA of MW scale is preferable.

- Bachelor's degree in any branch of Engineering from a reputed university

- Understanding of suppliers credit and taxation is desirable
