Purpose of role :

This is essentially a media role to Create, develop and manage content for organization's Web/Print presence including the various publications specially the Finapolis.

Key Responsibilities :

- Should have an experience of at least 8 to 10 years in content writing and editing.

- Responsible for finalization of the theme / topic of the cover story

- Responsible for a lot of communication on macro level that is sent out from each of the business to external customers & other internal communication like newsletters for employees & corporate customers. Also, all corporate presentation made by Chairman or a very senior management at different external forums.

- Extensive understanding of online medium & driving content on Finopolis website in a manner equivalent to business news channels.

- Conduct editorial team meeting on regular basis, which will keep the team members updated.

- Responsibility to see that the issue is full of quality content and highly presentable.

- Responsible for cross checking the facts, spellings, grammar, writing style, design pages, photos etc. The article that has gone through initial editing process has to be again approved by the Editor.

- Responsibility of the Editor to reject a piece of writing that appears to be plagiarized or ghost written by another sub-editor.

- Responsibility to check that a particular piece is neither self-plagiarized, nor has been published before elsewhere.

- Responsible to contribute editorial pieces for or on behalf of the management in the publication industry.

- Responsible to motivate and develop the staff under him. The article should be of high quality, eminently readable, and in line with the mission and scope and editorial policy.

- Responsible to handle reader's complaints and explain and account for them.

- Responsible to cross-check all citations and examine all the references provided in the content.

- Responsibility to check the technical soundness and technical quality of the content.

- Responsible for business editing and should have the skills of proofreading, copy editing, developmental editing, line editing and editing for search engine optimization.
