This initiative aims to provide affordable, equitable and reliable primary integrated healthcare services to the under-served populations in rural South Rajasthan.

Role : Head Operations/ Chief Manager Operations

Location: Udaipur, Rajasthan, India

Job summary :

- This role will manage the entire operations of the organization through three team i.e. nursing, pharmaceuticals & technology. This is one of the critical roles within Karma Healthcare.

- Working closely with the CEO this role is to partner both in strategy and execution in the rapid expansion phase of the organisation.

- We see this role evolving as a role managing a team size of more than 300 in the next three years. We also see this role evolving as a stakeholder in the organisation.

Candidate Profile :

- Graduate/ post graduate degree in social work/ public health

- 7 to 10 years of total experience, with experience of working in projects targeted at the rural population of India.

- This role has responsibilities of managing a team. Hence it is desired to have 4 years of experience in managing teams in the past.

- Experience profile of managing diverse set of stockholders in an ambiguous environment is preferable.

- Excellent verbal proficiency in English. Hindi. Proficiency in local dialects of Rajasthan is preferable.

- Willing to travel extensively to programmatic areas as required.

Primary Responsibilities :

Provide overall leadership to the operations department run an effective system to ensure better quality of services to the patients. This includes:

- Best in class nursing services

- Best in class pharmaceutical services

- Best in class relevant technology usage

- Create a strategy for rapid footprint expansion of Karma Healthcare.

- Create and manage effective team management frameworks for the operations team. This framework should be scalable to be able manage a large size team of more than 300 professionals.

- Lead and inspire a team of motivated and committed young professionals.

- Coordinate community awareness, outreach and promotion activities, including but not limited to budget planning and management of professional services engaged by the organization.

- Serve as the lead and focal point for all tasks the operations team.

- Implement a comprehensive outreach strategy to mobilize a wide range of stakeholders leading to an increased demand of the organization's services.

- Contribute to the project monitoring and evaluation plan, annual work plans and budgets, and other project deliverables

- Solve complex problems in turning unstructured operations environments into predictable & effective organisation through a combination of innovative processes and nimble systems.

Competencies and skills :

- Demonstrable track record of implementing a broad range of effective outreach and campaigning tactics and demonstrable ability to develop innovative campaigning approaches.

- Demonstrable sound judgements in dealing with complex and sensitive campaigning matters.

- Proven track record on devising and managing outreach campaign

- Understanding of the broad landscape of development and health issues

- Ability to work in unstructured environments.

- Strong communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to influence and negotiate with individuals at all levels internally and externally.

- A team player with strong training and mentoring skills. Ability / experience of negotiating and cooperation across teams and of working within teams. Demonstrated abilities of working in cross functional teams.

- Demonstrated sound understanding and experience of using research in communication activities

- Ability to summarize and persuasively communicate complex information in written and verbal form to a range of target audiences at a standard appropriate for the stakeholders

- Positive attitude with commitment
