We are seeking candidates to join our Supply Chain/Procurement Team immediately  Base Location: Cochin;   - The role will require extensive travel both inside and outside India.  Education & Experience:   - University degree preferably from premier B-Schools like IRMA, XIMB, IIFT etc. but not mandatory  - Appropriate full-time work experience of around 2 - 3 years is mandatory   - Experience/Exposure to spice Ingredients/food/dairy industry is strongly preferred   Job Responsibilities:  - Responsible for purchase of Major imported Spice raw materials  - Interact with Vendors for market information, price trends and availabilities across various origins.   - Negotiate & place contracts with suppliers, based on best available offers, quality guarantees and payment terms.  - Explore and initiate new sources and supply chain for RM spices & herbs from new geographies (India and Abroad- based on cropping pattern and vendor identification.  - Develop backward integration networks for Integrated Pest Managed (IPM-  in non-traditional areas. Implement models/GAP for transfer and dissemination of information to meet global standards of pesticide and illegal dye free material.  - Conduct frequent crop surveys during crop season for major Spices to understand the Area, Production, Productivity and Price variations of RM which will help to schedule procurement.  - Implement Information & data system for RM based on pricing, quality,etc  - Understand the RM market dynamics and initiate RM Market research & intelligence reports which include competitors activities, crop/price forecast and other relevant information that are critical to the company's business strategy.  About the Company:  Kancor’s manufacturing history goes back to 1970, when it was formed as a division of Bombay Oil Industries Ltd.,.
