Job Description: We are on the lookout for a Product Research & Development Manager with a strong background in e-commerce and product development, to join our team. While our passion lies in creating delightful and educational toys for children, this role calls for a broad expertise in e-commerce product research and strategy. As a remote-first organization, we value the ability to work independently, lead projects, and collaborate effectively in a digital workspace. The ideal candidate will use their comprehensive market research skills to drive our product lines forward, making strategic decisions that align with our company's goals and enhance our online presence.

Responsibilities

1. E-Commerce-Driven Market Analysis:

Lead in-depth research on e-commerce trends and customer behaviors, focusing on the Amazon marketplace. Utilize insights to shape product development strategies that meet consumer demands.

2. Innovative Remote Leadership:

Direct a dispersed team in product innovation, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration. Promote an environment that supports innovation and continuous learning.

3. Strategic Product Development:

Craft and execute product strategies aligned with our vision and goals. Incorporate customer feedback and competitive analysis to innovate and prioritize product features.

4. Analytical Performance Management:

Use analytics tools to monitor product performance, employing a data-driven approach to enhance quality and customer satisfaction.

5. Supplier Relations and Teamwork:

Build strong relationships with vendors and facilitate communication across teams to ensure alignment of product vision and strategies.

6. Quality and Compliance Oversight:

Ensure adherence to industry standards and quality control, maintaining high product standards and addressing compliance proactively.

7. Financial and Resource Management:

Manage the R&D budget efficiently, collaborating with financial teams to forecast costs and assess project ROI.

8. Technology Proficiency:

Stay updated with R&D technologies and tools to improve product development efficiency and outcomes, encouraging technological adoption within the team.

Required Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in related disciplines are advantageous.

- 3+ years of experience in product research within the e-commerce industry.

- Demonstrated success in leading projects and teams remotely, with a strong understanding of remote work dynamics and digital collaboration tools.

- Experience with Amazon and other e-commerce platforms is preferred, showcasing a capacity to navigate and optimize online sales channels effectively.

- Proficiency in data analysis, market research methodologies, and product strategy development. - An analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a history of managing cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and business objectives.

- Creative thinking and the ability to identify unique product opportunities.

- A proactive and self-driven approach with a commitment to continuous learning.
