Job Title: Placement Head

Job Summary: The Placement Head is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure successful placement of students in reputed organizations. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with industry partners, understanding market trends, and collaborating with various departments to enhance students' employability. The Placement Head also plays a crucial role in organizing career development programs, coordinating placement events, and providing guidance to students in their career paths.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Industry Collaboration:

- Build and nurture relationships with potential employers, industry leaders, and placement agencies.

- Identify and engage with companies for on-campus recruitment drives and off-campus placement opportunities.

- Stay updated on industry trends, job market demands, and emerging sectors.

2. Placement Strategy:

- Develop and implement effective placement strategies aligned with the institution's goals and the needs of the students.

- Analyse and assess the skill sets of students to tailor placement strategies for different disciplines.

- Collaborate with faculty and other departments to align curriculum with industry requirements.

3. Student Engagement:

- Conduct career counselling sessions, workshops, and seminars to guide students in career planning and development.

- Provide personalized career guidance and support to students in resume building, interview preparation, and soft skills development.

- Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development among students.

4. Placement Events and Activities:

- Plan and organize on-campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and placement events.

- Coordinate with companies to schedule interviews, group discussions, and other placement-related activities.

- Ensure a seamless and professional execution of placement events.

5. Data Management:

- Maintain accurate records of student placement data, including placement statistics, feedback from recruiters, and alumni success stories.

- Generate reports and analysis to assess the effectiveness of placement strategies and make data-driven improvements.

6. Alumni Relations:

- Engage with alumni to create networking opportunities, mentorship programs, and job placement support.

- Leverage alumni networks to enhance placement opportunities for current students.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience in placement or career services, preferably in an educational institution.

- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to analyze market trends and tailor placement strategies accordingly.

- Familiarity with industry requirements and skill sets in various domains.

- Knowledge of career counseling techniques and tools.

- Proficient in data management and reporting.
