JOB TITLE : Junior Fixed Income Dealer

LEVEL : Assistant Manager / Manager

REPORTING TO (ROLE) : Functional reporting to Chief Investment Officer

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB : FI Dealer will be responsible for assisting the Senior Fixed Income dealer in construction and management of the dedicated funds with inputs from the Chief Investment Officer.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES : The Fixed income Dealer will be accountable for the following :

- Responsible for the funds under management.

- Manage the cash positions of all the funds under the AMC.

- Double up as a dealer for the Fixed Income funds.

- Continuously provide the seniors with all kinds of market, credit and economy related news and information (domestic and overseas).

- Follow a disciplined approach to the investment process as laid down by the Investment Committee.

- Effective execution of trades and settlement in cash and derivatives segment.

- Gauge the direction of the overall Fixed Income markets through personal and secondary sources; and provide feedback on market behavior to allow Fund Managers to take important trading decisions.

- Suggest trading calls to fund managers.

- Work on existing and help in designing new stock screeners.

- Process corporate action / voting recommendations for stocks in our portfolio, under the guidance of fund managers.

- Should do all kinds of fundamental, technical and market analysis.

- Should be abreast with the latest developments in the market, both domestic and overseas.

- Strong understanding of the derivatives market.

- Prepare the investment rationale for all investments made for all the Fixed Income products.

- Preparation of all kinds of communication both internal and external relating to Fixed Income Investments.

- Has to be a strong link in the MIS of the organization.

- Will be part of the Investment Committee (by invitation), along with other members and will provide valuable information regarding credit exposures.

- Should be abreast with the competitor's portfolio, and feed the seniors.

- Should maintain a cordial relation with all the customers.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS :

- Very high on integrity and ethical.

- Post Graduate in Business Administration / CA (preferable, not essential) An Economics and Mathematics background is preferred.

- 4 -5 years of experience in Fixed Income and a working knowledge of derivatives is essential. (FI dealer in a mutual fund company or reputable broking institution)

- Experience of working under the Bloomberg environment is preferred.

- Must have strong trading acumen and ability to work under pressure.

- Highly developed team mindset, self-motivated, ambitious, open-minded and dynamic.

- Should have experience dealing in / a good understanding of both cash and derivative markets

- Should have excellent Excel skills

- Working knowledge of derivative markets / pricing

- Should have knowledge of charting techniques and be able to apply the same

- Market savvy & aware of key developments about the local markets, and be able to extract relevant information from his counterparts on the buy-side

- Excellent verbal and written English communication and presentation skill in front of both small and large groups.
