Junior Editor - Equity Research - BFS

- To edit, rewrite and restructure a variety of financial research reports such as sector notes, company profiles, conference snippets, investor presentations, analyst bio, pitch books, etc.

- To plug lapses in terms of grammar, spelling, and punctuation, ensure reports conform to in-house or clients- style requirements, clear redundancies, rewrite ambiguous/unclear text, ensure that there is a logical flow of ideas and consistency in thought and if needed rewrite text to ensure overall coherence

- To take care of the basic level formatting in the report being edited

- Perform various other tasks to ensure seamless and uninterrupted editorial support

Qualification - A post graduate (in finance or English) with a degree/diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication

Skills required :

- Strong editing skills with excellent knowledge of grammar, syntax, and structure

- Good judgment as to what to edit and what to query

- Familiarity with financial terms is essential

- Outstanding interpersonal / client management skills

- Ability to work unsupervised and deliver within tight deadlines

- Excellent attention to detail; Should be able to do basic level of formatting

- Should understand the workflow of the Research business and the fitment of Editors in the whole scheme of things
