We are&nbsp;currently one of India's fastest growing startups. Job Opening - Research Junior Associate Job Brief : We are looking for a talented researcher to join our team as a Junior Associate. The position is full-time and based in Hyderabad, India. As a Junior Associate at ShowTime Consulting, you will do high-quality analysis, research and writing right from day one, write frequent policy briefs on current policy issues in order to persuade the larger public, and participate in organisational debates over policy and politics. What We Are Looking for In You? 1. At least 2 years of work experience in the policy research/ economics space with demonstrated experience in inter-team coordination (Full-time Internships & Fellowships will be counted as work experience) 2. Strong analytical skills and knowledge of economics. Should be able to sparse data and unpack microeconomic as well as macroeconomic concepts. 3. Interest in (and some knowledge of) public policy issues concerning India, and a passion to understand them better and try solving them. 4. Have experience in interpreting budget documents and government orders. 5. A great communicator with strong interpersonal, writing and editing skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 6. A willingness to try new things, and not be afraid of failure and bring creative and entrepreneurial energy to the job. Main Duties & Responsibilities : 1. Identify and develop research questions for specific policy issues 2. Identifies policy issues, and conducts research and analysis 3. Perform Literature Reviews, sparse through research papers and data on a regular basis 4. Match data from different datasets and prepare data visualizations for economic analysis 5. Create briefs/speech inputs for various clients as well as internal team reviews 6. Assist the client in setting the narrative and identifying key electoral issues 7. Ability to document thoughts, prepare minutes, press releases and daily work output 8. Creating issue primers &amp; designing campaigns Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities. Essential Qualifications : 1. A Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Politics or Economics (A Master's Degree would be a plus) 2. At least 2 years of work experience in policy research or allied sectors 3. Proficiency in MS Excel (Knowledge of statistical analysis software like R, STATA, SPSS would be a plus) 4. Ability to identify appropriate methods to research and carry out independent analytical investigations 5. Experience of communicating findings in a coherent and succinct manner 6.
