Jumbotail has a national footprint operating in over 38 major cities and 100+ Tier III/IV towns across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, and Ladakh. Founder's Profiles Jumbotail was founded by S.Karthik Venkateswaran, and Ashish Jhina, Stanford MBA classmates. Karthik is an alumnus of National Defence Academy and served in the Indian Army for 10 years, with several tenures in hard combat. He went on to complete his MBA from Stanford University - Graduate School of Business. Karthik worked as Director-Products in Flipkart and Senior Product Manager in ebay US, prior to starting Jumbotail. Karthik is passionate about building products and technology that will create more economic opportunities for the food and grocery ecosystem, and make commerce more accessible and convenient for the next 1 billion Indians, who have diverse needs.

Ashish Jhina - Co-Founder & COO, Jumbotail Ashish was a Management Consultant with Boston Consulting Group, where worked on diverse projects including a long term project for solving leakages in Public Distribution System in India using Biometric identification and Aadhaar. He also founded NextDrop, a software based service to track intermittent availability of piped water to urban residents. He is also a 3rd generation apple farmer from Himachal Pradesh. Ashish is an alumnus of IIT Delhi, and Stanford University where he completed his MBA and also did his MS in Environment & Resources. Ashish leads business & operations at Jumbotail and is deeply passionate about using technology to solve real world problems. Ashish Jhina was recognised as a Ultimate 120 Innovators during Covid19' by Forbes India.

We're looking for a Director - People Experience who can :

- Drive the people experience function for supply chain across all locations ( current locations 30 cities and 3000+ people (blue-collar workforce) across the country)

- Build the strategy for the function, define success metrics for the function and align orgs and stakeholders to achieve the business objectives

- Build and lead talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, HR information systems (HRIS) and financial planning of the Supply chain department

- Ensure best in the class highly motivated and respected work force across first mile, last mile, fulfillment center, reverse logistics etc functions.

- Collaborate with operational heads to drive productivity improvement charter across different legs.

- Drive strategic initiatives required to achieve the best in the industry people NPS across other organized supply chains in the country.

- Drive long term initiatives like culture institutionalization, rewards and recognition

- Ensure compliance and legal aspect of people experience

- Track employee escalations and take proactive steps to control escalations

- Drive skill enhancement for blue collar workforce

- Develop the learning and development space including content creation

- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

- Utilize technology to enhance and measure the results of human resources initiatives

An ideal candidate for this role is someone who has-

- 10-12 years of experience handling the blue collared work force in e-commerce organization

- Experience in leading large, diverse teams

- Graduate/Postgraduate from a recognized institution in engineering or supply chain/logistics with an MBA degree

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of management

- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when required

- Ability to think big picture, but also dive deep and understand the details

- Ability and willingness to thrive in an ever-changing, dynamic and fast-paced environment
