Title Head - Marketing & Strategy (Nutritional Products)

Location Noida (Delhi NCR), India

Job Summary

The incumbent will report to SBU Head LSI and will closely work with in Animal Nutrition business to identify growth opportunities in existing business and recommend suitable strategies for further improvements.

He will also work with SBU Head on various inorganic growth opportunities, improvement projects as well specific projects for overall business growth and development of AI&NP business.

Reports To Head Sales & Marketing - Animal Nutrition Unit.

The Life Sciences Ingredients Business

Life Science Ingredients business is the flagship business of Jubilant Life Science Limited (contributing 50% of revenue of JLSL) with experience of more than three decades in various technologies and chemistries. LSI business is very proud of its expertise and ability to provide solutions to customer's needs. LSI business has global leadership positions in number of products in this segment and globally ranks No.1 in Pyridines and its 10 derivatives. Also it has several products having one of the top 3 global leadership positions. Volume growth has been robust, in line with the capacity enhancements that were carried out over the last few years and will continue strategic investments in future as well.

Life Science Ingredients business has been introducing a series of value-added products and business is going strong with continued growth across regions and has expanded its reach to service customers across more than 70 countries. Life Science Ingredients business continuous to be of strategic importance, and accordingly we continue to invest in this business for future growth.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Develop a strong - Go to- market strategy for each SBU is line with LSI overall vision.

2. Identification of new products and new business opportunities for the growth of Advance Intermediate & Nutritional Products business division.

3. Provides inputs for life cycle management of the products based on product strategy of various SBU.

4. Ensure consistency of strategy development across the SBU and role up to a corporate strategy that integrates the business and functional groups.

5. Draw up elaborate action plan and road map to achieve the goals and work with SBU heads to achieve same.

6. To maintain leadership position in the markets; continuously develop action plans to increase our market share.

7. Responsible for identifying inorganic growth opportunities, develop strategy for same as well as action plan for market entry.

8. Responsible for planning, execution and lead the new business strategies.

9. Suggest strategy for Key Account for building strong and long relationship.

10. Able to enhance the rate of winning new business opportunities

11. Support all other existing business requirements in growth strategy /ongoing projects.

12. Support SBU Head Agenda to drive change and manage teams as per needs during the year - ERM / Branding / Improve strategy process / Reviews / Knowledge management

Critical Skill and Knowledge Requirement for this position

Skill and Knowledge Needed

- Strategic knowledge about the target markets with strong bias for delivering results.

- Proven top-notch business head track record preferably in leading nutritional based companies or else in specialty intermediates.

- Sound knowledge of current status and new developments in the field

- Should have the capability to conceive and introduce new products, bring new business opportunities and the commercial acumen to grow the business.

- Ability to energise his/her team with a clear vision of the business.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Should have an Entrepreneurial mindset.

- Is able to translate long term strategy into effective annual marketing plans.

- Has the ability to understand various markets and provide solutions for strategic initiatives.

- Ability to build effective pricing strategy.

- Ability to assess competitor information and provide tactical inputs to sales.

- Functional/Business understanding in B2B environment with international exposure

Desired Skills

Qualification & Experience

- Chemical Engineer + MBA from reputed institute

- 15+ years, out of which minimum 5-6 years of experience of Marketing & Strategy

- Strong knowledge of nutrition business in India and global markets shall be added advantage.
