Job Summary Head of Investor Relations will lead the Investor Relations department at Jubilant Pharmova Ltd and be responsible for executing the overall framework of IR strategy and communications with the investor community. The individual will build and nurture relationships with the investment community including sell-side analysts, buy-side analysts, portfolio managers and individual investors.
The individual will also provide insights to the executive team on industry and competitor insights and also the potential impact on investors, of factors such as mergers and acquisitions, investment into and divestment of assets.
Reporting to - CFO Pharmova
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for developing and executing the investor relations program for Jubilant Pharmova Limited with key goals being enhancing coverage and correcting perceptions to bridge valuations gaps
- Lead the development of IR strategy, operating plan, budget, and execution of the IR program, in partnership with the CFO
- Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, analyst community, rating agencies and financial media
- Act as a strategic advisor to the Senior Management on shareholder / investors perspective while developing long term strategic choices, business plans, or other key decision
- Lead the market analysis, and presentation of feedback to the company leadership and Board of investors' perceptions and opinions, relative stock price movements, and periodic ownership analysis
- Organize Company events for investors to create brand visibility and brand recall including quarterly earnings calls and information dissemination. Lead the drafting of prepared remarks for such calls
- Coordinate participation of the company in NDRs and Investor Conferences including preparation of presentations, handouts etc.
- Lead the drafting and preparation of the MD&A on results of operations & financial condition as periodically published by the company.
- Develop market intelligence based on investor calls, research reports of companies in the healthcare sector.
- Evaluating, improving and maintaining positive relationships with shareholders and investors
- Represents the views of the investor community to the management team and inputs for the development of corporate strategy
- Develop a clear understanding of the segment mix of investor styles and needs, identify and flag inconsistencies of BU strategy with investor needs
The Person :
Qualifications & Experience :
- CA / MBA from a Tier I institute
- 10 - 15 years of experience with at least 8 years in an Investor relations role
- Ability to work with cross functional/multi-cultural team.
- Proven expertise and experience in establishing and implementing dynamic IR strategies and programs.
- Pharma/ healthcare exposure or exposure to capital markets will be a positive.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate at senior management level both within the organization as well as outside with key stake holders
- Team player with ability to collaboratively work with various departments within the organization.
- Self-starter with strong focus on brand building among investors and banker
- Excellent skills in MS Power Point and MS Excel
Personal Characteristics :
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an eye for details
- Should have worked in companies with excellent track record of performance and displayed leadership capability in managing the function.
- Maturity to deal with C-Suite executives and be able to influence and impact them
- Ability to articulate clearly and convincingly.
