KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Description :
- Lead ingredient innovation as part of the integrated supply chain function at JFL
- Create and maintain an ecosystem for new ingredients and new products
- Hold regular innovation sessions with all key ingredient manufacturers and vendors
- Develop alternate vendors for new product(s)
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to discover product recipes wherever unknown
- Value Engineering of existing ingredients and products
- Ingredients benchmarking vs market and competition
- Work on developing alternatives for food fortification, clean label with vendors and other internal/ external stakeholders
- Commercialize new products with vendors (lab to factory)
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS :
- Masters in food engineering / food technology 10-12 years of relevant experience in R&D, New product development, Product Development, Setting of R&D processes and R&D infrastructure
- Understanding of food regulation and food safety
- Understanding of consumer behaviour and panel design and sensory evaluation
- Food, QSR, retail, hospitality industry domain knowledge will be an added advantage
