Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Direct Tax

Qualification : Completed CA must in at least upto 2 attempts.

Basic requirements

- Have completed the articleship in reputed CA firm (preferably either Big 4s or tier 2 firms) in direct taxation area.

- Have good technical knowledge and understanding of direct tax provisions.

- Reasonable understanding of financial statements and its interpretations.

Job Responsibilities:

- Assisting in the direct tax compliances, including compliance of TDS provisions, monthly TDS payments, tax accounting entries, filing of quarterly TDS / TCS returns.

- Preparing tax audit report, computation of income and return of income of Indian companies.

- Work on advance tax / final tax liability for Indian companies on a monthly/ quarterly and yearly basis.

- Evaluating TDS implications on foreign payments considering India tax provisions and DTAAs.

- Preparing submissions for tax office representations.

- Liasioning with tax consultants in case of complex issues and accordingly providing information to consultants and resolving their queries.

- Liasioning with plants / locations team to gather information / documents and seek clarification.

- Studying and implementing new tax provisions.

- Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with the team members of the business and functional teams, and external service providers.

- Any other direct tax related compliances as may be required.
