It offers the full spectrum of investment strategies from equities, cash, fixed income, currencies and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds. Global Fixed Income Currencies &amp; Commodities comprises of Investment Specialist, Portfolio Management, Research and Risk teams which invests into a wide range of Investment products, primarily across different Fixed Income products. An Investment Specialist (IS) is responsible for the overall portfolio, strategy design, reporting and communications with the client. Role overview We are currently looking to recruit an individual as a Vice President into our Product support team for the Fixed Income and Liquidity business. The role will involve providing broad ranging assistance to our multiple stakeholders across functions like Investment Specialist, Research, Risk Institutional Strategy &amp; Analytics, Portfolio Management and Risk teams. The successful candidate must have proven track record of having held leadership position in prior stint and managing teams. He / She should have excellent analytical and problem solving skills for not just managing day to day functions of a very diverse team, but also work on business's key strategic priorities, in terms of ensuring execution on the ground. The lead would be required of having an oversight and governance model for each of the functions in the group, building the right engagement model and ensure that the team runs in an efficient and effective way with right focus on controls. The incumbent must also be able to build the right environment while engaging effectively with the stakeholders so that a balance is achieved between the Mumbai team goals and the global stakeholder demand. We are looking for a dynamic individual, with a keen interest in financial markets and the enthusiasm to drive their own work agenda. The successful candidate will be a self-starter looking to bring and implement new ideas in the team in order to set our team for a long term success. The person must be task oriented with a focus on deadlines as well as having the flexibility to work to changing priorities and demands at short notice. As mentioned, the role requires co-ordinating with people across all levels in a broad range of areas both locally and globally. Key responsibilities: Provide oversight to all the functions supported by the India team for the GFICC and Liquidity businesses - GFICC (Global Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities) and GL (Global Liquidity) are the key businesses that the teams support in Mumbai with a very diverse stakeholder set PM &amp; IS support analysts work closely with the PM &amp; IS teams respectively providing support on the functions like preparation of strategy presentations, analyzing of portfolio holdings including analytics, performance results, monitoring guidelines and co-ordinating with Sales teams The Risk Team provides portfolio oversight and the Mumbai Team supports the Global Risk Teams in these efforts by using tools such as measurements of Tracking Error and Standard Deviations across Portfolios and Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) The Research Teams in Mumbai support the Global Senior Research Analysts and their scope includes both coverage and portfolio monitoring/recommendation aspects The expectation from the incumbent would be to look at some of the key points below, but the role is not limited to just the below aspects and would be far more encompassing - Having ownership and oversight of the above functions, making sure functions are understood, completed &amp; delivered with highest accuracy &amp; timeliness - Managing stakeholder expectations with regular updates and strong governance model - Lead the team in identifying opportunity areas which would enable the functions to move up the value chain - Manage and lead the team and team leads; guide and mentor team members to do their work effectively - Engage with team members for performance &amp; career management, including setting goals &amp; providing timely feedback as well as year-end appraisal in partnership with business partners globally - Strong control focus with an ability to c onduct independent reviews of functions on defined intervals - Business development - assist with overall Business development across various functions in the broader Investment management support teams - Project Management like driving efficiency of the overall group, training and product knowledge, leveraging talent across functions for driving any project for the business, etc. - Lead / actively partner in change / project initiatives for both the GFICC and GL leadership teams Essential Skills &amp; Experience - Post Graduate from a reputed institute with at-least 14-16 years of experience in Financial services industry - Candidates should have experience in Asset Management functions. Direct experience in Investment management support functions is a plus - Knowledge of Investment products.
