JP Morgan Chase - CIB - Securities Services Operations - Fund Accounting (Ops readiness) - Vice President Job Description : Role Description : - We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated and experienced individual for leading the Ops readiness function for Fund Accounting Operations in Mumbai in extended EMEA time zone (India time till 12:30 am IST). - The candidate would be responsible for seamless onboarding of new funds and setting up of Fund Services processes from scratch across Fund Accounting, Trades and Reconciliation functions. - The successful candidate must have proven track record of having held leadership positions involving large scale functions and experience in setting up new functions / teams off-shore. - She/he should have excellent analytical and problem solving skills, applied to both daily operations of the unit as well as partnering with senior stakeholders to develop, implement, and manage strategic program throughout Fund Services operations. - The candidate will be working in the extended EMEA shift and diversity candidate will be preferred. Key Responsibilities : Functional : - Responsible for seamless onboarding of new funds and setting up of Fund Services processes from scratch across Fund Accounting, Trades and Reconciliation functions - Readiness of respective Ops functions in time bound manner before any new fund conversion such as resourcing, system accesses, procedures, control checklists, charters etc. - Stakeholder management effective communication and partnership to address any issues related to new fund conversions for seamless onboarding - Perform ongoing oversight and provide leadership and subject matter expertise to ensure the execution of a risk based oversight model - Manage capacity and assignment of activities across the team - Collaborate with cross functional teams i.e. Operations, Technology, Product and F&amp;BM to identify and resolve key business risks/issues - Communicate overall program status, risk, issue, milestone achievement and progress; ensure alignment of goals and activities among program work-streams and across parallel initiatives Service Delivery &amp; Client Focus : - Functional responsibilities to manage overall service delivery, flawless execution and enhance client experience - Functional responsibilities will require the candidate to work in a matrix operating model and work in close partnership across sites in India, Philippines and across the globe Operational Excellence &amp; Innovation : - The candidate will be required to drive innovative solutions for efficient operations and prioritize key technology enhancements - She/he will be responsible to identify project opportunities which will lead to significant business impact leading to financial saves, best practice sharing, reduce both manual effort and risk - She/he will be required to efficiently manage expenses and facilitate ways to reduce them to support business growth in cost effective manner - The candidate should convert knowledge of industry, business into a competitive advantage Operating Model : - Drive strong focus on building strong synergies across verticals - Design optimal operating model across functions as business continues to evolve - Ensure strong management coverage and oversight on resiliency, management bandwidth with right span of control Partnership &amp; Governance : - Considering the candidate will work in a matrix organization, partnership with various sites across the globe and business contacts is key to success - Responsible to manage new incoming migrations - Institute a strong governance framework locally in the region and metrics which are consistent with the globe to ensure strong focus on quality, delivery and enhancing client experience Risk &amp; Control : - Candidate will be responsible for building a strong Risk aware/ controls focused operations - Work closely with business partners and Controls Managers in driving/ implementing an effective, robust proactive and sustainable controls program to proactively manage risks to the business Experience, Qualification &amp; Skill Set : - 12-18 years of Mutual/Pension/Hedge Fund accounting experience - Minimum 10 years of experience in managing US/UK/Canada/Lux domiciled funds. - MBA Finance/CA/ICWA preferred - Strong business knowledge on FS products, processes and system knowledge. - Excellent hands-on in Microsoft Office Applications, Tableau, Alteryx and use these tools to create &amp; manage repository of various data points and publish MIS to top management - Significant experience in the preparation of information and analysis for senior management. As well as experience in presenting to senior audiences - Excellent attention to detail, and an ability to know when a deep dive approach is appropriate - Ability to drive results through a hands on approach - Skilled in identifying talent, recruiting, coaching, mentoring and developing team members - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and adept to communicate with all levels of the business and technical parts of the organization - Can operate in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and can prioritize ones own and teams work to achieve them. - Ability to partner with demanding stakeholders, managing their expectations while developing strong working relationships with them - Understanding of operational risks and related controls, audit and internal control framework - Ability in decision-making and problem-solving - Confidence to challenge, and be challenged, whilst remaining a positive can-do outlook The link provided below will redirect you to a website.
