VP - Card Credit Forecasting Modeling Analytics Description : - Card Risk Management is seeking a highly motivated Vice President that can help drive Loss Forecasting analytics to the next level. - This unique opportunity is equal parts analytics as it is transformation management. - This is a key leadership position to manage the credit forecasting function of India. - The position will lead a team of Associates and Analysts in India, as well as partner with Data team, Controller, Finance, and Modeling team. - The successful candidate will be a key member of the Loss Forecasting team responsible for leading emerging risk analytics that feeds into our loss forecast along with inputs to our loan loss reserves (LLR). - This individual will demonstrate strong quantitative & problem solving skills, superior work ethics, and leverage sound judgment to effectively work in a fast pace and dynamic environment. - Additionally, he/she will possess the ability to work with and synthesize large amounts of data into actionable analysis and provide a point of view to CRO level leadership. Key responsibilities will include : - Analyze underlying drivers and quantification of emerging risk inclusive of macro-economic trends and industry risk - Help spearhead best in class documentation and operational risk / audit controls surrounding the loss forecasting and LLR - Deliver on-time, flawlessly executed forecast results to the Card stakeholder teams - Provide effective challenge of the forecast including identification and implementation of model overlays, as needed - Provide thought leadership and analytic expertise to support the needs of the business including losses for pricing and other ad-hoc requests - Continuously improve the forecast process to enhance efficiency, accuracy of the forecast, and quality of insights delivered - Partner with Data and Controls teams, as well as other internal groups to ensure strong controls and accuracy of model inputs (e.g., portfolio, macroeconomic variables) - Coordinate user acceptance testing of new model releases including sign-off on behalf of credit forecasting Qualifications : - Most important - An individual that is a 'go getter', willing to work hard, and high level of attention to detail - Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering) - Understanding of financial statements and disclosures required - Minimum 8+ years of loss forecasting analytics and/or modeling experience. Experience in statistical modeling, CCAR, LLR/CECL, risk management and mortgage industry are preferred - Strong communication skills to present to and collaborate with business partners and model end-users and interpersonal skills a must including the ability to explain and/or present analysis - Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills, which will require the ability to synthesize / analyze diverse information and develop strategy recommendations from observed outcomes - Must have good judgment with the demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically - Ability to work independently & manage projects and deadlines - Proficiency in SAS.
