Vice President - Business Management Description : Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined Line of Business-aligned (LOB-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan's global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has 13000+ people across the globe. GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3500+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products. The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions. Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. The current opening is within the CCB Product F&BM team which forms part of the CCB F&BM Line of Business (LoB) within GF&BM India. Business Manager is an experienced professional who manages headcount governance, budgeting and forecasting, spend governance, location strategy and executive reporting for India based teams across Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Business Management optimizes business performances by helping to drive key initiatives. We act as trusted advisors and counterweight to Business/Group Heads, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business. This is a time-pressured and high-profile position which is instrumental in assisting/advising senior management and in coordinating the deployment of the bank's corporate resources to address strategic and tactical objectives. The main aim of a Business Manager is to : - Provide Business Management support for CCB India (Product Organization) supporting Forecasting, Budgeting, Location Strategy, Spend governance and analytics - Manage risk and control agenda - Act as signing authority for all headcount and spend requests to enable budget adherence - Manage seat utilization and allocations for all India locations ensuring efficient resource utilization - Work closely with various support teams such as CIO office, Real Estate teams, Recruitment teams to drive key strategies - Continually evolve the analytics and data presentations to enable fast and accurate decision making - Assist the leadership in executing initiatives and programs - Ensure collaboration with Recruitment team on Headcount Governance(Hiring Stats, Hiring drives etc) - Executive presence and a thought leader able to influence and advocate for their views/ideas - Strong expertise in business strategy, strategic frameworks, qualitative and quantitative analysis - Implement new business strategy, strategic initiatives or platforms, including aligning department and support groups (Finance, Tech, Ops, Legal, Compliance) - Optimize 'bottom line' business performance by driving key initiatives (fees, cost base, RWA and capital utilization) - Identify, escalate and mitigate business risks that could impair our ability to do business: e.g. legal, tax, regulatory, capacity issues, extraordinary transaction costs - Analyze financial performance, including expenses; identify productivity initiatives and drive implementation - Partner with the business, Operations and Technology in the definition of future workflows and implementation of related technology and infrastructure projects to prepare the business to meet the requirements of an ever evolving market structure - Partner with the relevant external service/ infrastructure providers - Business representation in respective internal/external working groups Qualifications : - 12+ years of experience primarily in Business & Stakeholder Management, Location strategy, Seat allocation, Headcount governance & Program Management - Experience working in Financial Services/Product organization / projects is preferred, but not a must - Ability to work across wider organization with virtual teams and across hierarchies - Strong expertise with collaboration tools like MS Excel pivots & macros, VBA, Confluence & Sharepoint - Ability to clearly story board executive Power point presentations - Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills - Enthusiastic, self-motivated and effective under pressure; Ability to prioritize requests and multi-task on time sensitive multiple requirements - Support our agile roadmap, identifying new practices, and building new tools, capabilities, and processes to enhance operations (e.g., dashboards, automation strategies, etc.) - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area - Previous product knowledge and/or prior Business Management or COO experience - Energetic and dynamic in style - Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills - Present well to senior and global business heads - Able to forge strong internal relationships across a broad range of functions - Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Able to both define and deliver to conclusion a strategic agenda across multiple groups - Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely - Excellent project management and organizational skills - Attention to detail with logical thought process JPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
