Asset Management - Alternative Fund Controller - Vice President Description : Job Title : Vice President - AM Alternatives India - Controllers J.P. Brief Description of the position : The candidate will be responsible for managing the Alternatives India Finance Controllers team for the purpose of delivering the JP Morgan Alternative funds financial and other reporting requirements and engaging with the Alternative product and finance teams across the regions. Primary responsibilities will include the following : - Oversight of Asset and Funds monthly/quarterly financial statement reviews, GAAP adjustments, variance analysis, Asset and debt appraisals - Ensuring preparation/review of Fund NAV and accounts; Finalization of audited/non-audited fund financial statements; continually improve the level and content of reporting and communication - Overseeing the timely review of Capital calls, distributions and Investor statements; Responsible for internal and Portfolio Managers reporting - Develop, maintain relationship and collaborating with all internal and external stakeholders including Fund Auditors and administrators - Defining and developing Metrics & Key Performance Indicators for the team and achieving the same on a regular basis - Establishing competency among the team members; managing appraisal process across the levels, conducting interviews to recruit the right talent & resources; Provide coaching and development opportunities to staff and developing employee competency - Responsible for driving synergies and efficiency initiatives. Continually working towards process improvements and executing strategic and intelligent automation solutions - Steering efforts in continuous assessment and development of the risk and control framework within the team Qualifications : - Qualified CA with 10+ years of experience in Fund accounting or Fund controllership function and part of which must have been in a management or supervisory role. - Understanding of Alternative Investment and Fund structures and operating models.
