Department Description The Pricing & Billing Team is a dedicated team of project and client facing resources focused on large scale change initiatives to address billing and pricing business requirements across Securities Services. The group provides a unique mix of project skills, product experience & discipline enabling it to provide a consistent, high-quality and responsive approach to manage and execute change across the firm. Key Roles and Responsibilities The Business Analyst will be responsible for driving data analytics, liaising with billing and technology partners to develop strategic business applications, systematically testing application functionality as part of the development /test cycle and accurately recording results, and engaging with key stakeholders to ensure transparency in communication and successful implementation. - Work with the project stakeholders to analyse business problems or issues, identify business needs, understand the impact of data and have ability to translate business need into building high quality products - Understand end to end business processes, conduct gap analysis and partner with stakeholders to deliver optimum business solutions - Support management in performing feasibility checks and proof of concepts for projects - Actively participate in process improvement and data remediation efforts across projects - Documentation of UAT Test Scenarios - identifying test scenarios and developing test scripts - Provide training on best practices and industry wide standardized Testing approach - Perform end to end Testing; User Acceptance Testing, Regression & Functional - Tracking of test results inclusive of defect management - identification and analysis of defects, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure timely bug resolution - Develop efficiency tools to assist with test script and testing automation - Build competency assessment tests for testers - In parallel with testing responsibilities, the candidate will be required to assist in the delivery of monthly/quarterly reporting on the testing results and SOP documentation uplifts where necessary Required Skills/Experience - Bachelor's Degree and/or Graduate Degree in Engineering/Statistics/Management - Experience and knowledge in the financial or banking services - 2 - 4 years of previous relevant experience in a test or technical support environment - Proven analytical and problem solving ability - must be detail oriented - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Test Preparation and Execution experience (preferably within business applications, data feeds and processes) - Ability to interact with databases - Working knowledge of test management software/SQL/VBA - Proven experience as a QA tester or similar role - Experience in project management and QA methodology - Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus - Ability to document and troubleshoot errors - Must be able to work under pressure and make accurate decisions in stressful situations - Ability to work both independently and as a team in a fast paced production environment - Flexibility of operating hours to include overtime, holidays, and weekend testing
