Job Description:

Availability of high-quality data to support our businesses meet clients' needs is critical and strategic priority for Asset & Wealth. The Chief Data Office (CDO) was established in 2014 to define AWM's data strategy and support for the core data used across AWM and needed to run our business, such as client data, reference data, product data, securities and pricing data, transactions and holdings, and index & benchmark data. AWM CDO is key function within the Asset & Wealth Management Strategy Group. We work with the AWM businesses, Operations, and technology partners to design and deliver data products and solutions required to support business initiatives, revenue growth, regulatory mandates under an optimized risk and control environment.

Product Manager will be based in Bangalore, India; the role is intended to fulfill a critical role within Instrument Domain to support build and adoption of strategic source of record. This includes leading the requirement documentation to reengineer, rationalize and data mining through different application to establish a pattern. The incumbent will be a key link between Open Invest, ESG, WM Security Master Technology, business stakeholders and their respective tech teams. The analysis work will focus on business requirement documentation and implementation in relevant systems and adoption by downstream applications. A solid background in financial securities (vanilla + derivatives), sound working knowledge of vendor sources and technical skill set to write SQL queries or Alteryx (good to have) are key to success in this role.

The assignment requires a significant experience and domain knowledge of securities reference data especially market sector and industry classifications covering all asset classes, mastering concepts and data usage in downstream consuming systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Co-coordinating with tech and business to obtain requirement for build

- Provide clear requirement for data model, with apt attribute name and definitions as per the standard.

- Initiate and lead working group with technology and business to develop success criteria for the product delivery and maintain cadence of meeting to track progress.

- Perform in-depth analysis and build data transformation documents to ease adoption of data from legacy to strategic.

- Develop operating models to support required level of controls in the end-to-end data flow

- Ability to recommend and implement required tools to maintain high level of transparency through reporting

- Define and manage requirements to support adoption of instrument data via EDPI/RADIX

- Document and track project reporting metrics and scorecards

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a major financial services organization, with data project management experience e.g. business analysis and Data/system migration projects

- Bachelor in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, MIS, or Information Management or equivalent

Desired Skills:

- Deep knowledge of data domains (Including Listed and Derivative Securities, Pricing, Classification and Party data) needed by an asset & wealth management organization.

- Strong Knowledge of best practices for Business Requirements Documents (BRD's)

- Proven ability to translate requirements into data modelling, adhering to firm-wide architectural standards, such as logical to physical data modelling

- Thorough understanding of the financial services industry and businesses e.g., buy side/Sell side as well as related operations and technology functions

- Awareness of data related industry regulatory requirements

- Background in data management practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and data quality framework

- Strong personal and professional integrity, and strong work ethics

- Strong business analysis skills, Results orientated, willingness to commit to delivery and take charge

- Ability to manage relationships across lines of business functions (front office, Middle office operations, technology, risk, compliance, finance)

- Highly skilled in productivity tools e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Alteryx
