Core forecasting for stress testing, loan loss reserve (LLR) & budget, 2. Risk appetite, 3. Credit point of view (specialized analytics to detect emerging trend in credit risk). In this highly visible role, the successful candidate will actively help determine the loss forecasting results and drivers. This information will be presented to executive management and other internal clients. The candidate will also: - Participate in cross functional communications with Risk Management, Finance, Marketing and Collections to inform the forecast on current learnings and incorporate strategic initiatives - Lead advanced analytics to assess relationships and patterns driving loss performance - Help spearhead best in class documentation and operational risk and audit controls surrounding loss forecasting and LLR The candidate must have strong: - Analytical and project management skills (creative, risk taker, willing to think different, comfortable playing with data) - Strong Leadership Skills with the ability to think, communicate and act like a Business General Manager (decisive, business oriented and quick) - Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to interact with global senior stakeholders across lines of business - Good balance in the ability to manage people and processes and be hands on and get into details. Qualifications: - Bachelors or Master's degree in Statistics, Economics/Econometrics, Business Application, Applied Economics, Decision Science, Operations Research, Mathematics (or equivalent quantitative field) - A minimum of 12+ years of relevant analytics/modeling experience. Experience in statistical modeling, risk management and Business Insights in financial firm/mortgage industry is preferred - Strong P&L knowledge and understanding of drivers of profitability - Ability to efficiently compress large amounts of data into short and concise presentations with sound business conclusions - Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret large amounts of data and its impact in both operational and financial areas - Ability to develop elegant and common-sense solutions to complex business challenges - Ability to structure analyses to solve business questions and problems - Written and oral communication skills to clearly present analytical findings and influence across all levels of the organization - Leadership Skill with the ability to think, communicate and act like a Business General Manager (creative, risk taker, willing to think different, comfortable playing with data, decisive, business oriented and quick)
