Senior Big Data Java Lead role based out of Bangalore, the role will require the candidate to grasp good understanding of Big Data architecture on premise as well as on cloud and understand the data pipeline spanning Ingestion, storage and distribution. The role will be technical leadership role where the candidate will have to interact with multiple teams, learning about the solutions already in place, pros and cons of every solution and then build solutions aligned with CIB Data Engineering patterns. The role will include people management responsibilities including hiring, managing day to day task assignment, code reviews, establishing software engineering processes, and influencing various stakeholders. The position also requires having good understanding of technical project planning, backlog management, executing global scrum and sprint calls and taking role of a scrum master from time to time. Responsibilities - Building and managing team in India and being responsible for various projects executed from India. - Implementing right SDLC practices, code reviews, pair programming etc. - Implementing best practices/standards for development and production releases, AIM - Working closely with plan teams and business aligned technology teams. - Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed designs. - Being part of various POC efforts for new build and setting up clusters - Working closely with operate teams, understanding JPMorgan DevOps practices and aligning releases accordingly - Testing prototypes and oversee handover to operational teams. - Facing business teams from time to time post releases and answering questions on data and release schedules - Documenting Component flows developed by team - Hands on Development (Coding) for Hadoop, Spark and Java Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information and computer Science or equivalent an practical work experience - 15+ years experience in the field of Technology development and leading small teams.
