- As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset Management Architecture function, you provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes.

- We are looking for an experienced Architect with strong Investment Management and Domain Architecture expertise to join this function, extend the team and drive thought leadership across a variety of major cross-cutting initiatives. This role will be based in India (Bengaluru or Mumbai), reflecting the importance of having a close working relationship with business and technology partners in the region.

Job responsibilities:

- Advises and leads on strategy and development of multiple products, applications, and technologies across the Asset Management portfolio

- Translates highly complex technical issues, trends, and approaches to leadership to drive the firm's innovation and enable leaders to make strategic, well-informed decisions about target state architecture

- Drives adoption and implementation of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies

- Drives adoption and implementation of data architecture specifications in technology solutions

- Establishes and leads an architecture governance body

- Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies

- Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design

- Serves as the function's go-to subject matter expert

- Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions

- Champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

- Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and expert applied experience

- Deep Asset Management experience working across Fixed Income, Equities, and Multi-Asset asset classes

- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability

- Expertise in one or more programming language(s)

- Deep knowledge in one or more software, applications, and architecture

- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines

- Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager

- Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives

- Practical cloud native experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

- Experience working at code level

- Experience with Alternative asset classes
