Commercial Banking Middle Office Data Analytics Lead Description: The Data Analytics Senior Associate will join the CB Global Finance and Business Management organization, assisting with optimizing business performance by helping to drive key initiatives, performing data & management reporting development agenda for operations. You will learn core business processes, build new capabilities, develop metrics/management reporting, and provide decision support via Adhoc reporting and data analytics. You will have the opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives that help drive profitability and efficiency across the Commercial Banking organization and will be responsible to lead Data Analytics and Reporting team and also will be assisting the business in identifying, escalating, and mitigating operations risks, also support in building the strategic initiatives for the key stakeholders. Job Responsibilities: - Deliver data insights, business value and recommend next steps to senior stakeholders. - Produce key metrics/decks (e.g., Business reviews, Partner decks, and dashboards) for the senior management on regular / ad hoc basis containing both financial and operational details. - Engage with key stakeholders across functions to understand challenges/pain-points or best practices and implement solutions. - Play a supporting role in driving business-initiated change management activities across the business (assess the ask, formulate solution in conjunction with business partners, manage the execution, measure success) - Identify and execute on efficiency/automation opportunities in the existing data consolidation/reporting processes. - Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to project management, presentation development, and business analysis. - Participate in collaborative initiatives with team members and global managers, looking for ways to continually simplify, improve, and add value to existing business processes. - Partner with senior leaders in advancing the business analysis and reporting agenda, focused on insights delivery in areas around operational efficiency, cost modeling, capacity planning, quality enhancements, etc. Required qualifications, capabilities and skills: - 7 to 10 years of Analytics experience, preferably in financial services or commercial banking - Ability to understand business problems/processes and design solutions/methodologies that are rooted in data. - Need hands on experience with Programming languages, e.g., SQL, Python/R - Analytical tools, e.g., Alteryx. Knowledge of Distributed file systems, e.g., AWS, Hadoop, Hive - Data visualization tool like Qlik, Tableau - Graduate/Postgraduate preferably with Computers/Finance/Statistics as core areas - Experience in Service Now & JIRA project management tools - Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills looking at reports / processes and build solutions. - Enthusiastic, self-motivated and effective under pressure; Ability to prioritize requests and multi-task on time sensitive multiple requirements. - Maintaining a very high level of competency when reviewing data and reports; quickly identifying and rectifying data and presentation issues - Excellent communication (verbal / written) skills to liaison between Sr. Management, US business managers and Data reporting teams. Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills - Manage projects / communicates in a clear, concise and efficient manner with multiple teams locally and globally. Has ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships. - Ability to understand business problems/processes and design solutions/methodologies that are rooted in data. - Solid organizational skills with ability to consolidate and analyze data received from multiple businesses. - Ability to design and execute repeatable and scalable data solutions (extraction / mining / visualization) - Effectively communicate insights/recommendations (verbal and written) - Team player with a demonstrated strong work ethic.
