The Team The Portfolio Management Group (PMG) is the implementation engine for the Private Bank's discretionary investment business, providing leverage for investment advisors and other internal partners in order to pursue the Firm's growth initiatives. PMG is responsible for implementing the investment strategy and portfolio construction as dictated by the Private Banking Strategy team and dedicated asset class specialists. Within PMG, National Trust is a team responsible for implementing JPMorgan's high conviction ideas across discretionary accounts requiring more high-touch, customized solutions; collaborating with integrated teams to provide sophisticated clients with advice surrounding complex trust structures, significant tax issues, and single stock concentrations. Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities: - Under the supervision of a Senior Portfolio Manager , execute tactical and re-balancing trades in accounts and respond to any additional requests for needed investment activity. Assist Senior Portfolio Managers with Investment Management trading as needed. - Under the supervision of a Senior Portfolio Manager, the incumbent will act as a resource for investment communication with trust clients, particularly co-trustees who share investment responsibility with the Bank - Create trade proposals for Shared Authority accounts to execute on current tactical themes or address open risk items for assigned accounts - Monitor accounts to ensure alignment with CIO's tactical guidance and address investment risks; including concentrated positions, asset allocation variances, excess cash levels, and account specific restrictions - Conduct investment reviews to validate client investment objectives and ensure compliance with the investment mandate and risk guidelines - Work with various internal partners to complete numerous business initiatives - Maintain knowledge of each account's unique requirements and sensitivities - Deliver critical and time sensitive processes with high level of accuracy within agreed timelines Essential Skills & Experience: - An MBA or post-graduate degree in Finance or related area. CFA is a plus - 8 to 10 years experience in Financial Services or Trade Operations or Middle Office or Portfolio Management / Analytics - At least 4 years of experience leading a 5 to 10 member team in a high pressure and demanding environment - Leads by example and is an effective role model e.g. takes the lead and the actions reflect an appropriate level of independence; demonstrates the ability to initiate and effect change and continuous improvement, contributes significantly to the on-going development of people. - Thinks Strategically ; Be able to drive positive changes, promote ownership and demonstrate "My business Mentality" - Manage Relationships with stake holder across geographies through inclusivity - Is organized, clear and confident in written and oral communications.
