Associate - Project Management

Description:

OTC Derivatives Operations supports a global and diverse client base. Primary functions performed: affirmation, settlement, client money daily segregation, credit event management, client valuations, regulatory reporting, and tax reporting. Facilitate transaction execution via a 'best in class' systematic control framework, providing integration between risk systems (Athena, GPS, Kapital, Pyramid) and vendor platforms (DTCC / TIW / Markitwire / Thunderhead).

- Manage a portfolio of 2.5M live trades

- Monthly settlement of 600,000 payments (100% increase vs. 300,000 in 2010)

- 70,000 Dodd Frank MTM and client valuation statements issued on a daily basis

Person will be responsible for Regulatory Reporting. Responsible for adherence & governance of business applicable regulations. Daily Exception management, addressing Client queries, submission of reporting's within SLA and managing audits. The individual will be interacting with stakeholders including multiple product operations, technology teams as part of daily BAU or query management. Data driven approach to resolve client queries and day to day regulatory exceptions/queries.

Job Responsibilities:

- Transaction reporting for jurisdiction including for EMIR, CFTC, ASIC, etc.

- Exceptions & Client / XLOB Query Management

- Data analysis, testing and root-causing of issues /break patterns

- EMIR, FCA, ASIC Refit requirements- data logics, testing , implementation

- Extensive data and controls driven approach , testing abilities and identifying gaps

- Deadline driven Regulatory reporting AWV, Depostatistik, etc.

- Partner with multiple stakeholders including Operations, governance team & technology

- CASS / SGCA Governance & ensure adherence by the LOB

- Build regulatory knowledge & thorough understanding of concepts

- Audit Management

- Identifying gaps and Improving controls in the process & ensure 100% accuracy ,compliance to Regulatory rules

- Manage any new analysis requirements across multiple stakeholders

- Deep dives and fixing of identified issues in plans

- Identify opportunities to automate leveraging tools

- Regular update to senior management on BAU, projects etc

- Stakeholder Management

Required qualification, skills and capabilities:

- Graduate or Post-Graduate with experience in Regulatory space

- Familiarity with a global bank's process & operational environment including management and external reporting is a must. Strong Regulatory knowledge and business knowledge i.e. Investment Banking, including OTC product, process and system knowledge.

Ability to think and act strategically:

- Deal with day-to-day issues as well as planning and executing projects / initiatives

- Ensuring the team's activities support attaining strategic regulatory goals

- Excellent attention to detail, and an ability to know when a deep-dive approach is appropriate

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and adept at communicating with all levels of the business and technical parts of the organization

- Skilled in MS office applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access and Project

- Advanced excel skills/data proficiency will be an added advantage

- Can operate effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines, and can prioritize one's own and team's work to achieve them

Experience on Regulations related to Collateral/Confirmations/Portfolio Reconciliation/Exposure to Tri optima will be an advantage
