The Rates Portfolio Management team manages Government & Inflation portfolios across separately managed accounts and mutual funds through portfolio construction to meet clients' objectives, identifying & implementing trades to generate alpha and providing macro fundamental analysis and best-in-class content. In the PM support role the individual will be working closely with the Global Rates portfolio managers and providing support on the below set of functions : - Analysis of portfolios including positioning, analytics and performance results on an ongoing basis from information gathered through a variety of sources, including online databases such as Bloomberg, Fact Set, as well as J.P. Morgan proprietary content - Monitoring performance of our existing positions and broad market moves - Performing analysis on different sovereign curves to identify RV trades and strategies - Develop and maintain structured modeling tools for use by the portfolio managers to help with them with their day-to-day investment decisions - Analysis of various market metrics including, but not limited to, Supply Demand Factors, Sectoral views. - Quality checks and review of information within the various trading systems and develop automated processes around the same - Analyze and represent the various volumes and themes in terms of trading counterparties/brokers - Co-ordinate and engage with Research, Risk and Investment specialist teams to adhere and monitor various investment guidelines - Any other requirements by the portfolio management teams - Maintaining regular contact with colleagues in the global sectors, taking part in conference calls and responding to project requests - Assume end-to-end responsibility for projects and presentations Essential skills / Qualification : - Ideal candidates for these positions would be Post-Graduates from top Institutes in India - At least 2-4 years of relevant industry experience and knowledge of the Fixed Income Markets, emphasis on portfolio management or macroeconomic research - Strong quantitative skills - Analytical aptitude and ability to learn financial concepts - Data mining using analytical methods - Strong Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel, Power point) - Knowledge of programming languages (such as Python / VBA) would be preferred - Good communication and team skills in a multi-location set up - Close attention to detail and ability to work to very high standards - A strong motivation to learn and manage projects independently Shifts - EMEA JPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
