Portfolio Compliance: Coding & Monitoring, Trade Surveillance, Alert Management.

- AM Guidelines team supports portfolio managers by updating Investment management mandates on Compliance platforms and monitoring alerts for Institutional client guidelines.


- Coding involves setting up client & compliance regulations in systems to enable effective monitoring of guidelines.


- Monitoring requires managing the alerts, breaches generated pre/ post trade as a result of trades/ non-trading actions and communicating effectively with various stakeholders.

Job Title : AM Global Guidelines - Change and Transformations Team - Associate

Process Overview : The Guidelines Change and Transformations team supports the Global Guidelines team and is responsible for the below activities.

Strategic development :

- Partner with Technology to define & deliver solutions to optimize the Guideline function

- Proactive efforts to measure and maximize the benefits

Technology solutions :

- Identify BAU processing pain-points and prioritize Tech solutions

Intelligent Automation Solutions :

- Eliminate manual processes through smart IA solutions such as alteryx, tableau, python etc.

BAU Process support :

- Reduce workload on core BAU team by managing large remediation activities on Guideline Systems

Scope & Responsibilities :

- Change Management

- Will have leadership responsibilities to help drive and deliver the Intelligent Automation book of work for the team.

- Stimulate idea generation within the team for process automation and streamlining the process.

- Maintain book of work on projects for the global team.

- Co-ordinate/lead projects for wider Guidelines Team globally.

- Provide regular updates to management on progress of the projects

- Publish ad-hoc metrics requirements for the team

- Work with Guidelines leads to review and strengthen controls

- Work on regional standardization across processes.

- Build automated solutions for the process, using tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Signavio, Python and UIPath

- Analyze data to produce meaningful reports and provide trend analysis.

- Efficiently manage stakeholder communications.

Minimum Requirements :

- 5+ years of Overall experience

- 2+ years of work experience of Portfolio Guidelines Coding/ Monitoring will be preferred.

- Candidate with 2+ years' experience managing change and driving process improvements.

- Candidates with LZ Sentinel knowledge will be preferred.

- Knowledge in tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Python, and Signavio is required to be successful in this role

- PMP/CSM/CSPO certifications are a plus.

Key Competencies :

- Determination and drive to impact change, be a change carrier.

- Analytical & Interpretation skills: Client agreement language needs interpretation and post trade compliance tests performed need data analysis skills. Team needs to understand financial instruments which are being traded by Portfolio Managers to code guidelines or to perform secondary research.

- Detail Oriented: Function is critical from an impact perspective. Need eye for detail and there is zero tolerance to oversight mistakes.

- Communication (Spoken - Assertiveness & Written): Need to communicate with Front Office (Portfolio Managers), Onshore Leads, Client Services on need basis to ensure correct interpretation by the coding team & to confirm client guideline breaches are understood by Front Office for necessary correction of the trades. Portfolio breaches need to be explained with requisite details over the email.

- Understanding of Portfolio Management, Role of Portfolio Manager, Key aspects of Investment Management.

- Individual contributor & effective team player.
