J.P. Morgan's Global Markets Group (GMG) in Mumbai was set up in 2013 as an extension of the Firm's global markets teams around the world. GMG is a fast growing team covering multiple asset classes across geographies. GMG provides in-depth knowledge that is behind our Investment Banking, Structuring, Sales &amp; Trading and Research businesses around the globe. Deeply integrated with our Investment Banking business, the team facilitates deals and transactions by providing vital research and insight. The Derivatives Analytics Group team in Mumbai will be part of the Credit Derivatives Structuring team based in London. The work involves maintenance, creation and development of new tradable assets, on which J. P. Morgan sell derivative products to clients (delta one swaps, notes, certificates, options etc.). The key responsibilities of the team include back testing and analysis of existing and new proprietary strategies, structuring and pricing of derivative products, making marketing material and legal documents etc. The team works closely with the London desk and has good career progression opportunities with possibilities of relocation to London desk. The class of products includes Equities/Rates/FX/Credit/Commodities with the prime focus being in Credit. The Analyst/ Associate's main responsibilities will include -&nbsp; a. Maintenance of existing Systematic Trading Strategies : J.P. Morgan is one of the leading providers of investable indices to its clients. Candidate will be required to learn these complex strategies and maintain them on a python based platform which involves reconciliation of existing strategies, coding trading and client specific reports. b. New product development: Implementing new ideas that team generates, devising/improvising on new strategies, coding and backtesting strategies in python. c. Platform Development: Role offers good opportunities to independently suggest ideas and drive J.P. Morgan Investable Indices platform development. d. Prepare Index Rules, factsheets and other marketing material for different credit derivative products. e. Pricing of various structures for runs and post trade process like instrument creations, assist with booking, term sheet preparation. Overall, the candidate will need to work closely with the Investable Indices Team (part of Credit Derivatives Structuring Teams in London) and will need to be proactive to improve desk efficiencies, access and learn J. P. Morgan's highly sophisticated strategies. The premise of the work is to come up with ideas for identifying and using latent market opportunities to cater to needs of clients and customize the risk return profile as per their needs. Essential Skills: - Knowledge of MS Excel, VBA and any object oriented programming language (specifically Python) - Advanced user of MS Office suite, including Word and PowerPoint - Strong knowledge and experience in pricing of derivatives - indices, futures and options - Strong knowledge of Credit, Equities, FX, Rates, Fixed Income or Commodities - Close attention to detail and ability to work at very high standards of precision - Strong quantitative and analytical skills - Good communication and team skills in a multi-location set up Ideal candidates for these positions would be a graduate/post-graduate from a premier college or institute. An engineering or mathematics background will be most suitable. Relevant experience in the field of derivative structuring/marketing will be given preference.
