JoVE - Director - Product Management

Role:

As the Director of Product, you will set the strategic vision and roadmap for JoVE's products. You will be responsible for helping us reach our goal of delivering best-in-class experiences and becoming the de facto research, education, and science content platform in the market. Responsibilities:

1. Create a vision for the overall product strategy at JoVE and transform this vision into a prioritized new product innovation roadmap.

2. Lead cross-functional development and execution of go-to-market strategies and plans designs to drive desired business metrics (e.g., awareness, consideration, trial, and adoption).

3. Identify and deliver new business opportunities to drive growth for JoVE through cross-selling, promotions, partnerships, or other programs, with the potential to deliver customer value at scale.

4. Interface closely with customers to develop a deep understanding of their needs to inform product decisions.

5. Identify and socialize key customer needs and unmet growth opportunities through partnerships with Consumer Insights, UX research, or 1st and 3rd party research.

6. De- ne and track product metrics to evaluate the success of new features and overall product performance.

7. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform product decisions and ensure that JoVE remains the market's best research, science, and education platform.

8. Bring an unstoppable passion for the customer, owning the Why behind the products JoVE delivers.

9. In- uence team members with innovative changes and improvements by challenging the status quo.

10. De- ne and own product/platform delivery metrics and KPIs.

Requirements:

Total Exp: 10 - 15 Years

1. 8+ years of experience in product management, ideally across digital, physical and/or hybrid experiences, with 3+ years of experience in people leadership.

2. 5+ years applying user-centered design principles to create successful enterprise SaaS experiences.

3. A Bachelor's degree.

4. A proven track record of building and launching successful products that have driven signi- cant business growth.

5. Knowledge, experience, and pro- ciency in product management standards and practices, with particular appreciation for the end-to-end product management discipline.

6. Ability to triage and resolve incidents and lead incident investigations.

7. Experience in the Ed-Tech and Science Research space is not required but is a plus.

8. Understanding of research and/or data and analytics business models and products.

9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

10. Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment with a desire to roll up your sleeves.
