As a Tax Assistant Manager, your primary responsibilities will include overseeing and managing various tax-related functions within the organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with tax laws, overseeing salary TDS (Tax Deducted at Source), and reconciling GST (Goods and Services Tax). Below are the key aspects of the role:

1. Salary TDS Management:

- Oversee and manage the process of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) on employee salaries.

- Ensure accurate computation and deduction of TDS as per applicable tax laws.

- Collaborate with the HR and Finance teams to ensure proper documentation and compliance with TDS regulations.

- Stay updated on changes in tax laws related to salary TDS and implement necessary adjustments.

2. GST Reconciliation:

- Lead and supervise the reconciliation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) transactions.

- Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary data for GST reconciliation.

- Identify and resolve discrepancies in GST filings and payments.

- Stay informed about changes in GST regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

3. Compliance Management:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws, regulations, and guidelines.

- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to stay updated on changes in tax legislation.

- Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.

Qualifications:

- Professional certification in taxation (e.g., CA, CA Inter) is preferred.

- Proven experience in managing salary TDS, GST reconciliation, and overall tax compliance.

- Strong understanding of relevant tax laws and regulations.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills.

- Proficient in using tax software and financial management tools.
