Job Description : Ethicon (DPS), a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Manager, Market Insights, located in Pune, India. The Manager, Market Insights is responsible for integrating critical marketplace analytics and reporting within the Global Business Insights Center of Excellence team (GBI), in support of the Ethicon (DPS) franchise. Position will serve as a representative on the Business Unit Insight team, and act as a key partner for the GBI Ethicon Platform leads, GBI Regional partners, and GSM Finance. Role will work with the Business Unit teams to analyze and manage market sizing, growth, and share across platforms and regions. It will require a high degree of business acumen and understanding and must proactively recommend tools and techniques to support secondary market sources and marketplace understanding across the business. Time and bandwidth permitting, assist GBI Platform leads in gathering and reporting insights through primary research and secondary data mining and analytics. Responsibilities : Support Business Unit Insights Team in: - WW Market & Share Analytics and Competitive Reporting - Secondary insights and marketplace assessment solutions - Fact based insights and analytics programs to address strategic business needs - Lead quarterly market growth and share model development & maintenance, consolidating Region/Platform views and creating reports for Sr. leadership that provide insights into key market and sales drivers - Working member of the Strategic Plan Core team, collaborating with global/regional partners to assist in delivering long term plans grounded in market dynamics and insights - Manage and create high-impact tactical and strategic marketplace understanding for the Business Unit - Support Director and Senior Director, Global Business Insights in data integration to form the Franchise Knowledge Estate - Partner with reporting and consolidations teams to create and maintain best-in-class analytical and marketplace assessment and reporting practices Qualifications: - BS/BA in business, marketing, statistics, mathematics, or related field is required - MBA or MS or other advanced degree is preferred - A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in secondary market research, forecasting, strategic insights, market research, business analytics, finance or a related field is required - Experience in the medical device, hospital specialty, or healthcare field is preferred; Experience in the consumer products industry is desirable - Ability to understand, translate and integrate marketplace data and secondary data tools into actionable insights to drive decision-making is required - Working knowledge of and experience with secondary market research tools and primary market research is preferred - Knowledge of competitive intelligence data is preferred - Ability to synthesize disparate data sources to provide an integrated insight view of the market/business is required - Thorough working knowledge and experience with forecasting is required - Excellent verbal, written and visualization skills are required - Strong project management skills in a deadline-oriented environment are required. Proficiency in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint, and analytical tools (Tableau, QLIK, R, SAS, SPSS or SQL) is required.
