Computer Vision, Vision Inspection Systems Domain Expertise JOB SPECIFICATION : Position : Head of Product Development Location : Ahmedabad, Gujarat Reporting to : Managing Director Span of Control : - Product Development Manager, Tech Lead Camera, Lead - Image Processing, Lighting & Optics, - Software Architect, Product - Architect, Project Manager, Tech Architect, - IP Manager(approx. 50/60 total team) JOB OBJECTIVE & SUMMARY : - Product Development Head will own product development lifecycles for new product developments. - The post-holder will drive a culture of disruptive product development, high-performance, expedited Product release and Launch Management. JOB DUTIES : Design : - Software Design & Hardware Design - Low Level and High Level Design - SRS for Product and Coding - Doing Test Case Reviews New Product Development : - Leading Product development, Product Prototyping, product release & launch, Technology, Mechanical Design, Image Processing, Product Aesthetics, Software development and Testing teams and deliver scalable/customizable products. - Should appreciate Product Development Image Processing, Image Construction Technologies. - Future New Product Developments and expedited commercializations in Computer/Machine Vision, Track & Trace, Serializations for Pharma Industry. - To lay the project plan, design, development, testing & execution of the user interface.. - Managing and leading machine vision R&D, Image Processing, Software Architecture and development - Leading architecture, Design and Development of new products initiatives - To contribute in timely innovations and research that helps in extending the product range and reach with new ideas in products Techno Commercial/Product Development Cycles : - Techno Commercial aspects like funding, budgeting, managing cost overruns and timelines - Must be Thorough with test marketing of the prototypes before embarking on commercializations - Strong in Project Management acumen in Product Development Lifecycle milestones vis a vis timelines - Working closely with external customers, Internal teams from sales and marketing, Operations, SCM, Vendor Development for expedited product development - To seek feedback from customer at the evaluation phase and incorporate the suggested changes - To provide training programs to service engineers and customers - Close interactions with Internal and external cross-functional teams - Technical guidance to Sales and Presales team for new proposals - Set Testing and QC department and ensure laying down of right systems and processes - Record Keeping and maintaining technical documentation for all product ranges - To internalize Agile, Scrum and Sprint methodologies Team Management : - Building, Managing and Developing Strong Teams - Hiring, Mentoring and Coaching Teams - Visualizations of pre and post launch scenarios
