We are looking for Manager-Advocacy in the CEO's office to support urban policy research and stakeholder communications. Your responsibilities in this role would comprise the following: I. Support CEO in ground work and extensive preparation required for drawing up Janaagraha's strategy for 2021-2023 II. Undertake research on successful advocacy initiatives on large public change agendas, document detailed trajectory of change including learning therefrom, and synthesise implications for Janaagraha's strategy III. Undertake comparative research on urban governance across peer economies on contemporary trends and developments, under specific guidance of the CEO IV. Identify replicable best practices in urban infrastructure in India and understand factors underlying their success, relate them to ASICS/city-systems and draw hypotheses V. Undertake a landscape of urban development initiatives and priorities of state governments VI. Support CEO in project management, VII. Support CEO in external presentations and speeches VIII. Own and operate Sales Force Contact Database and communications plan of CEO's office for key contacts Qualifications and Experience :&nbsp; - A Chartered Accountant or a Post Graduate in Business Management or Post Graduate in Finance or Economics or Post Graduation in Public Policy; - At least 8 years of professional work experience in Public Policy, Advocacy, Management Consultancy or related areas. Candidates from alternative academic backgrounds with outstanding academic and career accomplishments and relevant work experience would also be considered. What we look for in an Manager - Advocacy 1. Unlimited passion for transforming our cities over the long-term, particularly in the broad area of city governance reforms 2. Academic or professional background in urban policy with at least eight years- professional work experience; broad understanding and exposure to one or more of urban governance and infrastructure, urban planning, development sector/government consulting, project financing and management, climate change and environmental sustainability 3. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal 4. Detail-orientation across the board 5. Ability and willingness to get hands dirty with a bias towards practice and action 6. Ability and willingness to work individually without a reporting team on all activities and tasks required to accomplish job objectives 7. Systematic and responsive work approach to project management 8. Professionalism and experience to engage with a wide variety of government and non-government stakeholders at senior levels 9. Reasonable familiarity or presence in social media and orientation to digital 10.
