Brief about Advisory Vertical:

Advisory is divided into Financial Advisory (FA) & Business Advisory (BA) which works closely with the group company Janalakshmi Financial Services Limited (JFS), the NBFC-MFI focused on financial inclusion (www.janalakshmi.com)

Financial Advisory team delivers financial education and advice to Janalakshmi's individual microenterprise loan customers. It aims to build inherent capacity among the customers to make informed financial decisions, and drives financial behaviour (in terms of savings, credit, pension, insurance, etc.). The tangible output of the FA exercise is an individualised financial plan called Arthika Nakshe- which is then needs to be followed with the behaviour change i.e the client actually taking relevant financial products to reach its goals. We plan to put together a goal based & risk based model for product advisory to the clients.

In order to cater to the financial and business needs of our graduating customer segment referred as - accelerators-, an one-on-one financial advisory model was launched in 2012, integrated with the individual loan product of Janalakshmi referred as - Nano Loans- . Currently Financial Advisory teams are operating in 178 locations referred as Jana Centres (47 cities across 11 States).

On the Business Advisory side, we target to build the proposition to ensure that our business clients have access to the same level of formalistion services like accounting, taxation, registration services as a medium size business has in India. This is mainly targeted towards Micro SME clients. A model of providing shared CA service is already under pilot and required to be implemented at large scale post learnings from the pilot.

About the role:

Zonal Manager - Advisory is responsible for the overall management of FA & BA Vertical activities for the respective zone. Reports functionally to the Head - Advisory vertical.

Responsibilities includes:

- Leading the team of FA executives (do use the appropriate term) in ensuring that overall business priorities are met

- Achieve high levels of client satisfaction, per the customer service standards for FA at JUST

- Coach and mentor the team of FA executives

- Proactively monitor the business trends to gauge the staffing requirement and ensure timely recruitment

- Collaborate with business teams to ensure seamless delivery

- Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact assessment of the program

- Support the knowledge team in developing financial & business advisory content and recommend system improvements

- Develop productivity bench marks for the team. Monitor and evaluate outputs periodically. Ensure that any gaps identified are addressed with a sense of urgency

- Set up the product proposition segment i.e. Advisory on the insurance and investment products as well as business advisory practice at the Zonal level. Incumbent will have key responsibility of setting up these practices with guidance from Advisory head.

Given the above, we are seeking a passionate, experienced and entrepreneurial professional with an interest in financial inclusion and business advisory.

Qualifications & Experience:

You are expected to have:

A deep passion for financial inclusion and transforming Quality of Life in Urban India.

CA with 6-9 years of work experience, with atleast 3 years of people management experience. The following attributes are desired:

- Leadership role in financial inclusion/literacy/advisory, business advisory projects/programs/ activities targeting Inclusion base customers and/or MSME clients is mandatory

- Experience in managing teams across multiple locations at national/Regional level role

- Ability to exercise initiative, judgment and problem solving skills to complete work, take responsibility and make decisions based on solid analysis and interpretation

- Highly self-motivated and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects efficiently in a fast paced environment. Ability to work with flexibility and a high level of rigor, collaboration and diplomacy, both individually and as part of a complex team effort

- Acute attention to detail and standard of excellence in both - how' one works as well as - what' one produces

- High standards of personal integrity
