About the Role:

- We are seeking a seasoned Energy & Climate Fund Management Expert / Consultant who will be responsible for building, developing, and operationalizing energy funds across various industries.

- You will be responsible for advising and assisting corporate clients in optimising their energy consumption, reducing costs, and implementing sustainable energy practices. Your role will involve analysing energy data, developing strategies, and providing recommendations to help clients meet their energy efficiency and sustainability goals.

- This role is pivotal in accelerating climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives in diverse business contexts, in harmony with national and international climate and corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Assessment:

- Conduct comprehensive energy audits and assessments to understand clients' energy needs, consumption patterns, and sustainability objectives.

Fund Framework Development:


- Customise the foundational structure for the Client's Energy Fund for various industries, incorporating distinct guidelines, policies, and procedures tailored to industry needs.

Support in designing Fund Governance Structure:

- Design and implement a versatile operational and accountability structure that is adaptable to different industries, ensuring alignment with respective sustainability benchmarks.

Expertise in handling Energy Efficiency Projects:

- Identifying energy saving opportunities, building energy consumption models, conducting cost benefit analysis, developing energy management plans, assisting in energy efficient, design and construction practices.

Implement E&RM Projects and Design efficient and effective E&RM proposal Format:

- Considering factors such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, greenhouse gas reduction potential, financial need of corporate business units, and job creation, and project visibility.

Data Analysis: Analyze energy consumption data, utility bills, and facility information to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.

Technology Evaluation:

- Stay current with emerging energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy solutions and provide guidance on their suitability for clients' operations.

Regulatory Compliance:

- Stay informed about local, state, and federal energy regulations and incentives and assist clients in complying with them.

Cost-Benefit Analysis:

- Prepare detailed cost-benefit analyses for energy efficiency projects, renewable energy installations, and other sustainability initiatives.

Support Project Management team:

- Oversee the implementation of energy efficiency projects, including coordinating with contractors, tracking progress, and ensuring projects meet performance goals.

Monitoring and Reporting:

- Set up systems for ongoing energy monitoring and reporting to track the effectiveness of implemented solutions and make adjustments as needed.

Environmental Sustainability:

- Promote and assist clients in achieving environmental sustainability goals, including reducing carbon emissions and adopting renewable energy sources.

Holistic Benchmarking:

- Conduct comprehensive analyses, comparing funds from similar and cross-industry entities to derive insights and best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:

- Build and maintain robust relationships with corporate business units, departments, and industry-specific partners to ensure alignment of the fund's objectives with broader sustainability aims.

Client Education:

- Provide education and training to clients' employees and stakeholders on energy conservation best practices.

Cross-Industry Energy Fund Launch:

- Spearhead the inception and commencement of the energy funds tailored to multiple industries.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field is typically required. A master's degree in energy management or a relevant discipline is a plus.

- Documented success in providing consultancy services related to Energy Funds for major corporations and governmental bodies.

- Expertise extends to carrying out energy audits, measuring and verifying energy savings, and conducting educational & capacity building training program

- Evidence of spearheading projects of similar scale and scope across multiple industries, with a preference for experience in the Oil & Gas sector or similar.

- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation are beneficial.

- Computer Skills: Proficiency in using software for data analysis, energy modelling, and project management.

- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address energy-related challenges for clients.

- Outstanding analytical, reasoning, research, presentation, and communication prowess.

- International travel is required.

Preferred Skills:

- Deep-rooted consulting background in E&RM projects with cross-industry expertise.

- Comprehensive understanding of international climate agreements and initiatives.

- Acumen in identifying and leveraging sustainable financial mechanisms and sources.

- Strong networking and relationship-building aptitude in the energy, climate, and industrial sectors.

- Preferred experience with ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System & understanding of strategic implementation of ISO 50001:2018.

- Certified M&V Professional (CMVP), Certified M&V Trainer.
