ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES - To protect the Company by ensuring effective, comprehensive handling, tracking and closure of all litigations, instituted against/ by the company - To safeguard the interest of the Company by ensuring timely intervention, closure of legal notices, raised against/ by the company, by informed, well-reasoned replies. - Ensure legal compliances across the business to reduce the risk of litigation which might get started in case of non-compliance happens by monitoring development in laws and regulations, various policies & processes for their compliances, and offer sound advice, whenever required to enable strict legal compliance - Draft and vet complaints, written statements, case papers, affidavits, notices, police complaints for various legal proceedings, thereby dealing with cases at different courts - Ensure strict compliance with FDI requirement and other regulatory bodies pertaining to ecommerce business in India - Ensure that all allegations of legal misconduct are reported in a timely manner to the management team in an attempt to maintain integrity within the business. - Handling trademark issues and their registration process and also domain name including filing for registrations and updating from time to time. Conduct Search Report of prospective trademark, highlight conflicting trademark, coordinating with Counsel for filing of trademark. - Excellent Communication Skills - Exceptional communication and influence skills, as position is required to partner with stakeholders across the business - Should have a sound knowledge of Legal Metrology Act, Information Technology Act, Contract Act, Labour Laws, Consumer Protection Act, laws relating to Intellectual properties Right, cyber laws and reasonable understanding of procedural laws such as CPC, CrPC, and also substantive laws such as IPC, and other general corporate laws. - MIS - Prepare MIS of pending cases/issues/ notices/ IPR and keep them upto date at all times and inform the management periodically. - Candidate shall be willing to travel to attend case hearings and meetings on regular interval. - Candidate shall be well versed with labour laws as candidate need to collaborate and co-ordinate with the HR compliance team for labour compliances.- Education and Experience Required: Qualification and Experience - LLB/ LLM Experience - 5-6 years Location : Gurgaon
