This person would be responsible for the creation and optimization of online traffic acquisition strategy for ixigo as well as for its affiliated websites.  The position is based in Gurgaon, India and the person will be reporting directly to VP, Growth.  Key Responsibilities:  - Designing and executing the strategy for SEO while working in close cooperation with Development Team, Social Media Coordinator and SEO Analyst. This would typically entail:  a. On-page Optimization  - Site Structure Analysis, Competition Analysis, Keyword Research  - Keyword Finalization, Keyword Density Analysis and Placement  - Existing Web Content Optimization, HTML Validation  - Creation of XML Site map, Keyword Difficulty  - Content Development Check, Brief Keyword Competition Review  - Tags, Anchor Text  b. Off-page Optimization  - Directory Submission, Article submission, Press Release Submission  - Link building, Social Media Optimization  - Developing and executing SEM campaigns through:  - Grow our keyword portfolio, manage the program with potentially millions of keywords and find new search venues to advertise in.  - Optimize our keywords portfolio through testing with ad copy, landing pages, bidding strategies, negative keywording, etc.  - Track, report, and analyze PPC initiatives and campaigns.  - Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition   - In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics etc.)   - Experience with bid management tools (e.g. Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, or Search Ignite)   - Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments  - Identifying viral, digital word-of-mouth marketing opportunities with goal of driving traffic and creating brand awareness for ixigo and affiliate websites.  - Blogger outreach for guest blogging   - Managing in-house and outsourced teams and activities, tracking and monitoring their performance  Qualifications Summary:  - At least an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, preferably from top schools.  - 4-6 years of experience in SEO, SEM, Social Media, e-Commerce.  - Ability to - go down in the trenches- while solving problems  - An ability to identify & solve new business opportunities through ideation of new products.  Soft Skills:  - Self starter with a high level of drive and commitment and a passion for search engine marketing  - High energy and drive to work in a startup environment.  - Conceptual thinking, flexibility and ability to juggle with multiple responsibilities.  - Ability to work under pressure and confidence to deal with complex issues  - Stay current with new advances in search engine marketing and the competitive landscape.  - Good grasp of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition.  - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work within a marketing team, and other departments.  - Savvy with social media trends including Facebook, Twitter, MySpace  - Strong communication skills.  - Hands-on and detail oriented  Compensation: Competitive, will not be a constraint for the right candidate  Culture: ixigems enjoy a fun and rewarding work atmosphere.
