JOB DESCRIPTION : - Design and model complex supply chain problems, to help define the supply chain strategy for fortune 500 clients. Design and build end to end supply chain decision support systems to leverage and democratize optimization capabilities across the organization. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES : Principal consultant Supply chain Design - Work closely with business or client project coordinators to understand project requirements and design solutions around supply chain optimization modeling and related IT framework. - Prepare data requirement template and coordinate with client in data gathering phase, analyze input data and validate assumption using data - Responsible for building models and scenario using optimization solutions - Responsible for building any IT peripherals (using ETL tools, Excel VBA coding etc.) to automate the processes in order to operationalize the solution - Provide structured and creative analysis to identify performance improvement opportunities and effectively communicate findings with clients - Design and develop output reports to analyzing results from optimization solution - Prepare presentations for business stakeholders and clients - Document modeling approach, data transformation logic, and assumptions QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE : - Master's degree or equivalent from leading institutions in Industrial engineering, operations research, supply chain management with 7+ years of experience in the area of supply chain management - Have experience working with LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru-, JDA supply chain strategist and/or IBM LogicNet Plus or similar supply chain modeling solutions - Solid understanding of network optimization, inventory optimization and/or transportation optimization concepts and models - Should have experience directly interacting with clients - Should have experience managing a team to execute projects - Experience working with database design and scripting to manipulate data - Having experience working on tools like R, Python, Data Guru, Alteryx, Excel, Access, Tableau to analyze supply chain data - Preferable to have some coding experience and inclination to learn new technologies - Excellent analytical abilities, critical thinking, and creative problem solving skills - Good communication and presentation skills - Additional language skills (Japanese, German, etc.) a plus but not required - Experience working with teams in multiple geographies and willing to travel.
