Assistant Manager - Supply Chain

Position: Asst. Manager - Supply Chain, Education & Stationery Products Business, ITC Limited

Reporting Into: Head - Supply Chain (1st Appraiser) & CEO (2nd Appraiser)

Location: ESPB Head Office, Chennai

About ESPB : ESPB was established in the year 2000. It started as a Greeting Card Business and has grown over the years in terms of turnover as well as product portfolio significantly. Greeting Cards business was discontinued and the organization got into Student & Executive Notebooks in the year 2002. Currently, the business is proud of having built strong brands such as Classmate and Paperkraft. Colour Crew is another brand in the Classmate umbrella under which ITC has launched the Art Stationery category.

Product Categories in which the business operates today are Notebooks, Pens, Pencils, Geometry Boxes, Maths Instruments, Erasers, Sharpeners, Rulers and Art Stationery (Pencil Colours, Sketch Pens, Crayons). The business clocked a topline of approx. 600 crores in 2011-12 and has aggressive growth plans going forward.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Asst. Manager - Supply Chain Planning will manage all processes related to WD order replenishment, forecasting, inventory and supply planning; S/he will also be responsible for anchoring S&OP activities;

KEY FOCUS AREAS:

- Balancing supply and demand

- Review and enhance forecasting and supply planning processes and tools

- Improving fill rate and forecast accuracy

- Reduce inventory days of supply

- Reduce planning cycle time and planning cost

- Aligning business plan with short term and medium term plan

- Rollout of SAP APO

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

- Inventory days of supply

- Out of stock @ WSP

- Out of stock @ WD

- WD OTIF (Line fill, Qty fill)

- Forecast Accuracy / Bias / Fidelity

- Fill Rates

INTERNAL LINKAGES:

- Sales Team, Brands Team, Logistics team, Operations team

EXTERNAL LINKAGES:

- Consultants, SAP APO Teams

Salary -

- Approx. 13.5 Lacs p.a. (Negotiable depending on work experience and qualifications)

Long Term Plan for the job holder :

- Job rotation once every 2-3 years in other ITC businesses such as Foods, Personal Care or Trade Marketing & Distribution. This may involve change in business, role and location.

Looking for passouts from 2009 or 2010 batch from Premiere Institutes - with atleast 1 year of Supply Chain experience.
