About the job;


Role specific skillsets:


Project Management:


- The resource will lead all Corporate level projects. Appropriate teams shall be formed for each project and later on disbanded once the project is over. While each project will have its own project management team structure, resource should be to:


- Manage 2-3 big size Corporate projects in parallel and ~30-40 projects


- Ensuring the successful design, implementation and commissioning of the project within timelines and budget


- Managing and meeting Customer Expectations


- Keep an eye on the ROI of the project and report projects with bad ROI


- Ensuring the work is being executed as per the Project Plan, any deviations are to be recorded and reported to the stakeholders


- Ensuring Change Management is being followed at site to ensure addition / deletion from the scope is being recorded and reported as per the change management process.


- Monitoring & Controlling projects with respect to financial compliance & team management


- Preparing appropriate project management reviews working on project control book, baselines & resulting data required for reporting business unit


- Have the ability to troubleshoot in case the project team runs into obstacles


- Accountable for the delivery of corporate projects to our Management


- Provide management with options where project teams require help or intervention


- Provide management with options where project teams require help or intervention


- Implementation deadlines wrt to their support and escalation matrix.


- Define and manage problem reporting, escalation and resolution procedures.


- Provide coaching and feedback to all team members


- Institutionalize projects, handover to the teams and move on to the new ones


- Should be a Solution Finder


- Ability to put up Milestone Charts, Gantt Charts etc


- An essential aspect of the role would be to develop Key Accounts Management for the Group.


Key Accounts Management:


- Set up a robust plan and process for Key Account Management (KAM) working with various practice leaders.


- Identify stakeholders for each account based on geographies, current level of relationship and potential for growing that relationship


- Identify specific clients where the top management needs to regularly interact with the client


- Monitor the progress of client interaction and progress


- Set targets for stakeholders


- Evaluate the progress and suggest change management where required


- Monitor and report progress to the management.


- To be a tailor fit, you need to have:


- An engineering degree with 10- 12+ years of experience


- Certification in Project Management Certification on PMP


- Team handling experience


- Should have good experience of working with cross-functional teams and have a collaborative work culture


- Inspirational leader with assertive personality and with a coaching and mentoring approach ; should be able to handle different sets of personalities in the team including Class A type


- Strong background of process-oriented delivery approach


- Should have the ability to ask tough questions / probe and find out the root- cause when tasks are running behind


- Give the management an actual ground level reality of the progress of any project


- Should have strong Critical thinking skills: Should not act on emotions or from received knowledge but have the ability to be objective and evaluate independently an issue or situation and thereby form an independent judgment.


- Should have a Quality bent of mind and have the ability to oversee the activities and tasks that are required to deliver the project at the stated level.


- Should have strong conflict management skills and be a strong negotiator have the ability to be able to give a pushback, diplomatically, so that all parties concerned feel they are getting what they want.


- Have the ability to resolve disputes before they blow up and threaten the project.


- Should be able to identify, assess and control risk and have the ability to see those issues before they become problems.


- Should have strong communication skills be able to articulate what is expected from the project team members.


- Should be organized, follow up tenaciously and submit progress reports on a regular basis clearly signaling concerns if any.


- He should not be a mere paper pusher; should be capable of rolling up his sleeves and getting down to working himself


- Should have a strategic mindset and the ability to identify opportunities in client inter-actions.
