Profile - Program Manager

Job Location - Mumbai (Note: WFH is available due to the Pandemic but candidates have to join back once situations stabilize).
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Undertaking the delivery of India based projects in the application management domain using sound project management skills
- Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects working with internal and external teams
- Define and manage a well-defined project management process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices
- Support the set-up of in-country project management practice with well-defined templates, methodologies, best practices and documentation
- Mentor teams, leading them to be self-directed with strong accountability, decision making, conflict resolution and transparency.
- Evaluate projects for agile based execution if possible and bring in Agile best practices such as time-boxing, continuous integration, code/design reviews, transparency, accountability, rally tracking, product visioning, technical debt reduction, self-management, empowerment and role training to help build capabilities in the local markets
- Work independently or in a team setting to evangelize project management best practices across the organization
- Execute insurance IT projects ranging from Policy issuance to Claims to Distribution with a sound understanding of Insurance IT systems
