Position Overview/Primary Purpose

As the Global Network Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational activities and governance of our global network infrastructure. You will be the key point of contact for all aspects of the company's global network, including WAN, SD-WAN, fixed telecom circuits, LAN, wireless, load balancing, and other network technologies. You will work closely with our managed service providers (MSPs) and vendors to ensure that our network infrastructure is maintained and meets our business requirements.

Key Responsibilities -

- Oversee a Managed Service Provider. Provide leadership on operational activities and guidance on processes, review SLAs and inventory reporting. Review changes & incident tickets from quality and technical standpoint, define pre-approved change templates, review problem tickets and provide direction on preventative actions. Manage onboarding and contractor renewal.

- Work closely with MSP and vendors to manage lifecycle of hardware and software, perform capacity planning, plan and ensure execution of hardware refreshes. Partner with server & storage manager by providing on-site review and leadership for primary data centers when needed. Work with internal stakeholders to align technology stack with business requirements. Collaborate with Solutions Architecture to review and evaluate new technology, define standards and strategy. Review and provide sign-off for architectural designs. Provide project sponsorship and oversight for network-related projects.

- Manage vendor relations including, but not limited to Cisco, Silverpeak, Azure, Microsoft, Bytegrid, Zayo as well as Value-Added Resellers. Escalate support concerns, make procurement decisions, review vendor offerings and roadmaps.

- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in IT and business. Collaborate with various parties to define service delivery requirements for current and future needs. Manager internal customer escalations.

- Manage budget and seek cost containment opportunities. Review and renew maintenance contracts seeking cost containment and ensuring inclusion in budget.

- Oversee quarterly audits related to operations & logical access, support ad-hoc audit requests from internal & external auditors. Review and approve access and perform periodic review of compliance with policies and standards. Drive improvement of policies, standards and processes.

- Coach and develop team members, providing guidance and mentoring.

Required Qualifications -

- Bachelor's degree in IT or a significant working experience (15 or more years).

Experience -

- 6+ years of experience in managing complex network infrastructure environments.

- 6+ years of experience working in a 24x7 global enterprise environment.

- 6+ years of experience with WAN, SD-WAN, fixed telecom circuits, LAN, wireless, load balancing and other network technologies.

- 4+ years public cloud experience (Azure, AWS).

- Certification in ITIL V4 or V3.

- 4+ years of experience in vendor management, contract negotiation and budgeting.

- 4+ years of experience working with managed service providers.

- 4 years of experience in project management and strategic planning.

- 4+ years of experience with formal team leadership.

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

- Knowledge of Audit compliance requirements.

- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or other industry certifications are a plus.
