Job Purpose:

Key areas of responsibility

- AIX/UNIX System admin & Oracle DBA background with SAP Basis.

- User and Network Security Management Installation of Component patches and Maintenance of Kernel patches.

- Maintenance and Administration Database monitoring & Performance Data Archiving & Data Migration.

- Netweaver Performance Analysis and Tuning (ABAP4 Programs.

- Database R/3 work process buffers dump parameter workload.

- Knowledge of 2 dimension products Viz. BW APO.

- Knowledge of Tivoli Backup Manager.

- Maintain & support the SAP R/3, APO, CRM, BI & EP environments with regard to SAP software patching, configuration, database operations, operating systems operations, backup/restore, 3rd party tools and connectivity for the target solution.

- Provide Support and Guidance to the other Project and Development teams during the build, test and productive operation of project implementation.

- Perform core SAP Basis & DB Administration activities, configuration of printers, source systems and connectivity.

- Monitor and maintain SAP R/3, APO, CRM, BI & EP Applications and R/3, APO, CRM, BI & EP Database operations and tune settings for optimal system performance

- Perform regular Oracle Table reorganizations, and index rebuilds using SAP Standard and 3rd Party tools, to ensure optimal system performance

- Perform Early Watch analysis and apply recommendations.

- Perform System copies/refreshes, plan and execute on Fail-Over and DR events & tests.

- Provide daily support SAP R/3, APO, CRM, BI & EP End-Users with system and reporting problems.

- Perform Daily System Health Checks on all SAP systems and do general troubleshooting and diagnostics checks on technical aspects of the system.

- Setup of User Printers within SAP, as well as support the installation of Front-end Guis for end-users.

- Configure and Maintain Transport System Landscapes and operate Change Management Tools * Perform Setup and Configuration of Solution Manager CCMS in order to monitor & administer the SAP systems.

- Provide Production Support on a periodic 24x7 support with on-call responsibilities

- Work with SAP via OSS & Solution Manager to technical resolve problems

- 3-5 years of SAP R/3, Enterprise, or ECC 6.0 experience.

- 1-2 years of SAP APO, CRM, BI & EP experience (preferred) specifically focused in NetWeaver, Web Application Server (WebAS) & Java Application Server (JavaAS) experience on Unix (AIX 5.3 preferred) and ORACLE (10g, 11g preferred)

- Experience with SAP R/3, APO, CRM, BI & EP Operations, Maintenance and application of support packs.

- Experience with technical setup & configuration of SAP R/3, APO, CRM, BI & EP, Upgrades and Application of Support packs.

- Experience in supporting Implementation Projects, Development, Testing and Production Operations of SAP R/3, APO, CRM, BI & EP Solutions, as well as Oracle Database

- Possess a sound knowledge to configure & maintain source systems, data sources, etc. Knowledge of other object types will be a plus.

- Good working knowledge of Unix Scripting, ABAP and Java Development will be of value, but not essential

- BWA experience not essential, but a plus

- Applicant must have strong English written and oral communication skills to effectively execute responsibilities as part of a highly skilled dynamic SAP Technical Team Strong team and interpersonal skills

Skill-set required: Applicant will exhibit strong analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills to operate either within a team or independently.

Compensation - 8,00,000 to 11,00,000 pa
